We have not tried it for the different things advertised, but we have used it for something else and it helps. My grandma is 92 yrs old and around 95% paralyzed from a stroke. We placed this on her bed across the bedsheets and when we lay her in the bed, we are able to use this to slide her over to the center of the bed. It has a good grip and is easier than using a bath towel to pull her over from the side of the bed to the middle. Every little bit helps, as it is hard on a person's back to lift and try to maneuver 160 pounds of "dead weight " since grandma can't move her legs or arms etc to help push herself across the bed. I wish I would have brought years ago.

We use this to assist me getting my large 87 year old father off the floor when he falls. It support a much wider part of his back (read more comfortable to him) vs a thin gait belt, which I was using for same purpose. There is not that much to this product, it simply works and supports an elderly person's back at a time in their life where they need help.

COULD NOT FIGURE HOW TO US WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS

Looks like it would work very well, but be warned,, it is terribly smelly - like several really strong chemicals mixed together. Guess I'll need 2 wash it and air it out outdoors. Hope that does the trick.

Has been invaluable in taking care of my progressively weaker mother; I place it right over the gait belt to use & it gives her just the edge she has come to require for standing (much better than the under arm assist which can cause painful issues over time)

This is well worth the money if purchased for a large person, not so much for a petite woman.
