Best gadget I own
I can't say enough good stuff about this immersion blender. It quickly became the most used gadget in my kitchen by far. It has no problems blending or chopping up anything I throw at it. Garlic comes out super nicely minced in an instant in the food processor attachment. Everything cleans off super easy, food doesnt seem to stick at all. The first time I used it I accidentally straight liquefied some onions because I wasnt expecting how strong it would be. The variable speed trigger makes it easy to avoid any splashing. I've used mine for cooking almost every single day for over a year now and it still looks new. Just 10/10, no notes.

Quite and smooth
If you want a kitchen tool that can both blend and handle light food processing, the most important things to look for are power, ease of cleaning, attachment quality, and versatility. The Braun Multiquick 7 3-in-1 Immersion blenders are excellent for soups, sauces, smoothies, and small batches, while food processor attachments help with chopping vegetables, dips, salsa, and prep work. Reddit users consistently praise Braun and Ninja systems for durability and convenience in smaller kitchens. No batteries to change out as it is a plug in model! Low vibration makes it a smooth handling machine. It has never overheated on me.

Braun is my favorite hand blender for a reason.
I fall in LOVE with this Braun MultiQuick all over again every morning. For anyone who doesn't know, there's this thing called Bulletproof Coffee. I make it for breakfast, it's basically coffee with butter (grass fed) and coconut oil (MTC). It's really good and healthy, but it has to be blended because oil and water don't tend to mix well lol. So that's what I use my Braun for every morning, but that's not all. I've used a Braun MultiQuick to make mayonnaise and so many other things, and it's always done an amazing job. It's really worth your money, period. Keep reading though, I have a lot more to say ;) I've used all 3 versions of the MultiQuick, which I'll just call the 5, 7, and 9 over the course of many years. They come in different packages, with different accessories, but the main unit itself really only has the 3 variations. This review is for the 7, and is the one I currently have. The 7 is also the one I like most! The 9 is great, but it's expensive, and totally overkill for just doing mostly coffee lol, plus it has a safety button on top that you have to press before the trigger works. I don't have kids, so that safety button just ends up annoying me, but I can imagine a lot of people would appreciate that feature a lot more than I do. The 5 is also a great device, and still runs flawlessly after 5+ years and has plenty of power, even mayo is no problem. I wanted to upgrade because the 5 isn't anything special to look at and only has 2 speeds, plus the 5 technically belongs to my former roommate. The 7 is my perfect match, like I'm Goldilocks and these are the 3 bears blenders ;D One of the reasons I love Braun MultiQuick blenders so much is that they designed the shape of the device around the blades to redirect the force downwards. I think they called it a "modified bell shape" somewhere, and you get this on all the models, the 5, 7, and 9. This actually does a lot to help this blender outperform others. For starters the force down means unlike other hand blenders, it doesn't try to suck down to the bottom and stay there with a lot of suction to the point that you might have to let the blender slow down or stop to pull it back up and finish the job. The other thing that becomes obvious when you use other hand blenders for coffee or other watery liquids, is that it will spin up and out of a container rather easily because the blades fling the liquid straight outwards pretty violently. When I use a Braun, all I have to do is use a mason jar and never have to worry about my coffee getting flung out all over the kitchen counter (unless of course I overfill it! LOL) So of course I'd recommend a Braun MultiQuick any day of the week, and even though I haven't tried all the other brands, I've tried a lot while traveling or with friends, and they are always disappointing and I always appreciate the Braun MultiQuick more after I'm done.

It’s a great blender, but the plastic mixing cup is disappointing
This an excellent mixer. I’d planned to spend more, but didn’t need to. It works well to make protein shakes. I freeze fresh berries and bananas to add to my shakes. This thing blends everything up very nicely and smoothly. My only really gripe is the cheap soft plastic mixing cup. Those things are hard to properly sanitize, especially once they start getting scratched. Poor choice Braun TLDR, AA 1.25 QT BAIN MARIE POT WORKS WELL AS A MIXING CUP Sorry for yelling. I tried to find a steel shake mixing cup but couldn’t find one wide enough to allow the blender to reach the bottom. I ended up finding something called a Bain Marie pot. A 1.25 qt size works well for this blender and is easy to clean properly. There are several different brands on Amazon.

Versatile and Easy to Use, but Not for Very Hard Ingredients
I use it for puréed soups, smoothies, sauces, and chopping ingredients when I’m baking. What I really like is how versatile it is. It comes with a beaker, whisk, and two-cup chopper, and the attachments are very easy to change. The speed control is also intuitive, so it’s simple to adjust the power depending on what I’m making. I especially use the chopper attachments. They’re great for chopping nuts when I bake, as well as other ingredients for cooking. Everything is easy to clean, and even with all the attachments, it doesn’t take up much space to store. The only issue I’ve had was one time when the blender overheated while I was blending very dense liver for pâté. It hasn’t been a problem with the foods I normally use it for, but I think a countertop blender would be a better choice for very hard foods or things like ice. Overall, I’m really satisfied with this blender. It’s convenient, easy to use and clean, and the different attachments make it much more useful than a basic immersion blender. For everyday cooking, it has been a great addition to my kitchen.

LOVE IT
Our old Braun (single speed) finally died after years of near daily service. So I thought I would try the VITAMIX. It was crazy heavy and didn't even come with a cup to mix in. I made one smoothie with it and decided it wasn't for me. It wasn't any better than the old Braun and it much heavier and more difficult to maneuver. This newer Braun is a DELIGHT. Even tho it is a tad heavier than our old Braun, it is much lighter and easier to use than the Vitamix and also feels more powerful. I love the easy speed "trigger" mechanism and the way it allows a slight pumping motion. We've used for for smoothies, making soup, sauce and even grinding toasted rice for a specialty dish.

Dumb design. Edges so sharp, it defeats the purpose of it's selling point, the unique pump feature.
On a Thursday, I knocked my 1983 Braun immersion blender with a thick, sturdy plastic housing that still worked flawlessly off the counter, vertically and a bit tilted, so the shock cracked the top edge and down the side of its housing. I picked it up and admired how thick the plastic was, how the screws held it together despite the violence of it's landing, and then said goodbye to my well-used workhorse of 39 years. I didn't think twice, I went to Amazon and ordered a Braun, (the MQ7035X) to replace it. I thought, "Cool, now they make the blending shaft out of stainless, it'll have less suction, and it's got a pumping action so I don't have to lift it out of the bottom of the pan at all!" It arrived quickly, within 48 hours. Upon unboxing, I thought "Whaaat the.....?" The bottom of the stainless steel blending shaft has really sharp, pointy edges, like a dull knife. It's sharper and certainly pointier than all the stainless steel cooking implements I own other than my knives. I'd never let it hit the bottom of my enamel and stainless pots. I showed it to me husband, the better chef of the two of us, and he said, "I wonder what it's intended use is? Maybe for a plastic bowl, or to make smoothies or daquiris or something in it's plastic cup? You can't put that in the bottom of an enamel or stainless pot. That's dumb design." I agree. And I read the instructions: there's a warning not to scratch it against the bottom of pots. What's the point of the suction-free pumping attachment if you can't use it, because you have to keep the blending shaft off the bottom of your pots? So much for blind loyalty. I boxed it right back up and arranged the return immediately. Such a shame. So now I've done my due dilligence, and read cumulative reviews of all the immersion blenders available on Amazon with no less that 4.5 stars. Breville appears to have the best cumulative Amazon reviews that don't have the inexplicably sharp, unprotected blending shaft . (Why is that is a thing?) Postive reviewers coo about the Breville's power, some like the attachments, but I don't care about those. I need it for pureeing hot soup and sauces on the stove. Googled reviews on other sites, including on NYT Wirecutter, and it's typically a top pick. So I ordered the Breville BSB510XL Control Grip Immersion Blender. Fingers crossed. Check my review on that product later. I'll tell you how it worked out.

The Best Immersion Blender We Have Bought
This is easily the best immersion blender we have ever purchased. It is powerful, easy to use, and creates very little mess. It also operates much more quietly than other blenders we have owned, with no irritating noise. The attachments are practical, and the 3-in-1 design makes it very useful for different kitchen tasks. We are very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.
