Great boots! Compared these in different sizes and against Ugg Sumner boots.
I was looking for a pair of sleek, black, durable, waterproof, warm, and stylish boots. I did not want your typical rain boots (wellies) or rugged looking snowboots. I wanted a full zipper instead of laces or pull-on.I bought the Ugg Sumner boot in my normal shoe size (size 7) and the Figueroa in both sizes 7 and 7.5. Many reviews said the Figueroa fit small and after trying them on, I totally agree.First, Ugg Sumner vs Teva Figueroa:- Uggs had a wider toe box- Uggs were warmer- Uggs were stiffer- Uggs upper are full suede. The Figueroa is a suede-like material but more durable. That is, water drops tend to bead off it better.- Figueroa were more stylish in my opinion. They were sleeker and had more interesting detail.- Uggs boot shaft was lower.- Uggs soles were stiffer. In comparing the Teva sizes, I found my normal shoe size resulted in a boot that was:- Toe box just a bit too narrow.- Ankle area was too tight.- Zippers that were too tight but not impossible to zip up.I definitely recommending sizing up, at least a half size. There are a number of reviews that complained about the zipper being impossible to zip up. I definitely found these tighter than your typical zip boot but I was able to zip mine up with my skinny leg jeans in (I'm 5'2", 135lbs... I didn't measure my calf though). The fabric did seem to stretch out a bit after a week of use and it got easier zip up. The pressure on my pinky toe was also less after a week of use, indicating there is some stretch to the fabric. These are definitely waterproof. I live in the PNW and wore them during a downpour with puddles everywhere and my feet stayed dry and warm.I do recommend these boots but it's obvious that they don't fit everyone.

Very comfortable, looks great, slightly small in the calf.
With a knee-high winter boot, I feel like manufacturers really need to figure out that you're going to be tucking your pants into the boot. I mean, it's just logic. It's a winter boot, so you're not likely to wear it with a skirt, and if I'm buying a knee-high boot, clearly I want to be protected from the snow all the way up to my knee, so I'm not going to wear my pants outside the boot. My calves are pretty average sized, and the boots fit great without my pant leg, but I can't get the zip all the way up once I fold my (thin) pant leg in there.I'll just get it stretched, but my point stands: winter boots that are knee high are GOING to be stuffed with a pant leg AND a person leg. Get on it, boot makers.Other than this mild complaint, though, I really liked these boots. They run a little small, so I had to send back the 7.5 (which fit, but so closely that I could tell I'd get blisters immediately) for an 8.5, which was much more comfortable. I wore them for a 5-mile walk the other day, and I got a tiny blister on the back of my heel from a bit of chafing on one of the boots, but it's pretty clear that's more a problem with a new pair of shoes rubbing against an area of my foot that isn't used to it. I'm confident that with wear, I'll have no trouble at all with these boots. They're very comfortable, very warm, and I didn't have any problem with leaks walking through 6 inches of snow. They're attractive, too, looking just like the photo, though the brown color is kind of sueded and therefore doesn't look quite as dark as the photo makes it appear. The sole is well-made and cushions your foot nicely. Even with the blister, I was able to cover it up with a band-aid and walk the rest of the way home without discomfort, so I think they're going to be my new favorite boots. Once I get the calf stretched a bit, that is.

Ladies, I have American calves
When I first tried these boots on, I was alarmed, as my rather muscular, American calves felt snug within them. However, as I began breaking them in, I realized that they were really rather comfortable as they stretched out just a smidge. The biggest and best test of these boots was our trip to Iceland. I bought these specifically to have as a versatile option: there is enough style that you can wear them with leggings and a wintery wool dress/tunic. Then, you can also wear them with a sweatshirt and under armor leggings while hiking out to waterfalls, geysers, etc.--and that's what I did! They are certainly waterproof, as mentioned, and held up during a rigorous, outdoors vacation. In addition, and perhaps most importantly, they actually kept my feet warm (with just a simple knee high sock) within some pretty harsh temps. Some Icelandic equestrians actually remarked on how beautiful the backs of the boots are. It's true; there really aren't any other styles on the market that are comparable.Overall, I rate these as excellent. They are durable, stylish, and warm!

Great Boots for New England Weather
I first saw these boots on another woman at work and fell in love. I fell even more in love when I found them on Amazon for such a great price. However I was going back and forth on the sizes since most of the reviews said to order a size up, but I did not listen and ordered my size, 9M.When they arrived they were as expected if not even better. The quality of the items was great and they fit perfect! I have to say that I have a long narrow foot so it was probably why these fit so well. I do have a more muscular calf and I am not 100% sure if I will be able to wear these with all of my jeans, but with legging they fit perfect. There was one area on my left ankle that rubbed a little due to where the zipper was,but overall they were great. Very warm and very comfortable to wear all day. Would buy again if there is something that goes wrong with these. Love them.
