Yap Zacht Supersoft Oval Pet Bed, 26 inch

Lovely dog bed, very nicely made and has a nice luxury snug feel to it. Initially I bought the 22" for my Jack Russell Terrier but had to send it back because it was too small for him, it would of only been suitable for a teacup Jack or smaller sized dog. The only let down with the bed is it does measure up small, I measured the bottom of the 22" and I got 19". I would order a size larger than you suspect will be the right size for your pet because of this. I will also mention (like the other reviewer has) the cushion is not removable. Im okay with this because I think it's really nice and It would soon dry if washed because is not massive, however if you get a larger size it may be tricky to dry because you cannot remove the cushion.I bought the bed to replace my dogs old Yap donut bed which he loved and it held up really well after being washed lots of times. There seems to be an issue with the discription of the item and the measurements need looking at. Apart from this, I would highly recommend a Yap Dog bed for your best friend, my dog loves to snuggle up in his.

Iv just recieved this dog bed in the post, so this will be my first impressions.The fur is amazingly soft, so much so I wanted to try the bed myself, its very lucious to the touch. The outside is very much like a cotton mix material.This is NOT a firm bed and the sides barely stand up by themselves, which if youv got a delicate dog recovering from ill health it maybe ideal for you. Also those dogs who like to hang over the sides of beds its ideal for them.Its plenty big enough for my Cain X who is like a very large black Westie. He can lay straight out flat in it very easily.NB BEFORE BUYING CHECK OUT INTERNAL DIMENSIONS (I found them on another website). The outside measures 34 inches but the inside is 26 inches. I think a medium sized dog would have plenty of space with a large breed like a Labrador could curl up in it, or flake over the edge. It would fit two small dogs easily (ie the toy breeds), a Chihuahua would disappear in its depths.NOT for those dogs who at all chew their beds. My dog is not a chewer but he was tempted to give it a try, hopefully he wont turn into a bed chewer.Under the cushion is just the usual wipe clean material, but Iv found with many other types of bed this does ware down over time, even before the edges. All the beds I know have this bottom, so it seems to be a thing everyone does - it makes us buy more beds!The sides are nice and high, about 6 inches, so any dog can get low down into it and stay out of a draft. The sides would squish if sat on by the dog.The bed is very light, I have a bad back and found it easy to lift in its packaging. It is in a plastic sealed bag and then the delivery bag, so scissors were needed to open it. I didnt pay any postage so no worries there.I brought the size as I like to think it will last more then one dog. Iv not washed it yet so I dont know if the fur stays plush or ends up like the usual bobbles/teddy fur.The other thing about the fur is that your dog maybe confused that its their bed, so Iv put my dogs blankets in there and he tried it out for size. His beds better then mine now.:)For the price its brilliant, but I would have liked to see more stuffing to the sides (I can sew and will add some more if it needs it). I think it would work well as an insert to the large resin beds (Iv got one that has lasted 5 dogs so far and still like knew, I hope this one lasts as long).It is a Wow of a dog bed, and I would have given it a five if only it had more stuffing on the sides.PS: I have sensitive skin and have had no problem touching the fur or sides as yet.

I bought 2 x 34 inch beds for our 2 lab x collies, size wise they are good however they do not hold their shape and the sides are very floppy.But my main problem is .... Flees. My dogs are 3 & 4 and we have never had any flee issues before but since getting these beds we've had a nightmare, I think the flees are breeding in the soft cream bedding and no amount of washing and spraying has helped so far, every time we think we've got them all they re-appear a couple of days later & I've lost count of the flee products I've purchased in last month, anyway the beds are being washed & sprayed & put away today to see if that helps. I think we are going to have to get rid of them which is very annoying as we have only had them 6 weeks & what a waste of money..

I love it. So warm, snuggly, furry, soft, padded. OK,so I had a little try myself. Had to make sure it was good enough for my girl! Jazz is a large whippet (17kg) and after measuring her in various sleeping positions, decided to go for the larger size.Would probably have been ok with the smaller size, but whippets can curl up into a tiny ball or stretch out, all legs and a long body. She slightly overhangs when at full stretch, but when her friend comes around, a medium size lurcher, they both curl up together with no shoving and pushing. So either the bed stretches or it is big enough for 2 medium size dogs. But they would need to be very good friends!Arrived within 2 days of order, Vacuum packed, took a few mins to puff up. Excellent value for money. And free P&P. Jazz has refused to sleep in other dog beds before, have wasted money on at least 2, but she just about shoved me out of the way, hopped in, laid down and has only got up for her dinner and went straight back in. Maybe I'll get my bed to myself tonight:)

This was my 3rd dog bed made by YAP. The first one was small for a puppy the second one has been used for the past 6 years. It was so hardwearing, easy to wash and my dog loved it. I did not hesitate to buy the same make again. This bed is luxurious, well padded, comfortable, warm, my dog is a beagle and this bed fits into a medium size cage edge to edge. He can stretch out fully, the high sides flatten with his weight on. Believe me he does not want to get up in a morning he is so comfortable. Well worth the money, I am confident it will last him the next six years.
