hydrocoat liquid 300ml
So the description states this is a:-Supagard hydrocoat liquid 300ml for water and dirt repellant. In my recommendation this is mainly aimed at young what I call "motor heads". Boys who love their cars. They treat them like there babies and don't mind spending many hours cleaning amd pimping their rides. LolThis product says:-*** Only 2 cupfuls per application*** Adds a Layer of Protection*** Water/Dirt Repellent*** Reduce Drying time by 50%*** Cherry Scent*** Lasts up to 4 weeks*** How to use:- * Wash car with pH Supagard shampoo * Wash off all remaining soap. * Fill the bucket half way with clean water. * Then add one/two capfuls of the hydrophobic formula in the bucket. * Using a clean soap free sponge * Dip into the Hydrophobic solution in the bucket. * Wipe over the surface of the car including paint and glass. * Wash off with water * Chamois leather dry.My nephews said it's all about preparing:-To make things ready at hand the buckets and the hose was all ready. I don't know if it's what's needed but what I did see was the buckets they had, were ones that had like a filter in the bottom. They said if there's any dirt or stones etc on the sponge when dipping the sponge in the dirt goes through the filter… like a cylinder. So it means when you are ready to use it on the car you're not dipping the sponge and picking up any residue, which could do damage and scratch the car.As I said I think this is aimed for boys who basically love their cars and got too much time to know their hands. The price at the time of this review is £20, which myself I think is a little high. But boys and there toys will do anything to keep there babies clean and shiney.I will update this review if needed.***Detail's:- * Specific uses for product:- Car * Format:- Liquid * Brand:- Supagard * Surface recommendation:- Car Exterior including Windows * Scent:- Cherry * Volume:- 300 Millilitres

Left coagulant and oily streaks on my car. Smells unpleasant and the vapour it emits is toxic.
I get that some people think that this product is great but I just didn't get on with it at all. I've been detailing my cars for over 30 years and have very rarely used something that has actually generated so much effort for so little benefit. I've used this product three times now and on each occasion it's given poor results.Firstly, there's the fact that you need to use a second, spotlessly clean bucket. This is because you have to wet, shampoo, rinse, treat, rinse again then chamois dry. If you use the same bucket you've used to shampoo your car, you'll need to go back inside after you've rinsed it to clean then fill the bucket with this hydrophobic treatment. By the time you do that and return to your car, you'll find that it's probably dried off naturally and you'll have to rinse it again so that you don't damage your semi-dry car paintwork with the sponge. All-in-all, it turns the simple task of washing and protecting the car into an over-fussy faff. And on the subject of the sponge supplied with the glaze, this has no place in the modern world of car detailing and should never go near car paintwork. Microfibre or lambswool mitts are definitely the thing to use. However, I have two larger issues with the bottle of glaze I received. The first one is that when added to the half-bucket of water (using the suggested two capfuls of glaze) it coagulates and creates a film reminiscent of cottage cheese. You can see this stuck to the edge of the bucket in one of my photos. This 'cheese' then leaves oily streaks on the paintwork and a speckled tree sap-like film over the glass. This means that the car then needed towel dried and treated with a different brand of hydrophobic glaze to correct the mess. The wiper blades needed cleaned with alcohol too, just to remove the cheese. The second big issue I have is with the vapour it emits. Now, I've been using this company's shampoo with great success and it smells fab and does a great job. This glaze is supposed to smell of 'cherry' but mine smells extremely chemical-like and deeply unpleasant. You get a pair of nitrile gloves with the kit and whilst they don't appear to be required (there's certainly no detrimental effect on my skin) the vapour given off by this product, when diluted correctly, irritates my throat and nasal linings, even whilst using it outside. I have to say that there is a warning label alluding to this on the packaging, but I didn't expect such a profound effect. In my opinion, this is quite nasty stuff and I don't state that lightly, having never experienced that with any car care product I've used in 30 years. So, it would be fair to say that I'm not exactly in love with this product. I can't see any beneficial effect whatsoever and it's far quicker to just wash and dry the car then wipe a hydrophobic glaze over the paintwork using a microfibre cloth. It certainly takes less time and effort and gives superior, reliable results. Coupled with the physiological effects I experienced, I just cannot recommend this particular product.
