Connects my iPad Air 5th Generation to my Dell XPS 8940 perfectly.
The built in port on my Dell XPS 8940 could not provide enough power to charge my iPad Air 5th Generation - resulting in a power surge error. The card was easy to install and my XPS had a spare SATA power cable that I used for the additional power required. This card solved my problem and does a perfect job - thank you StarTech!

Great High Throughput Port Expansion for PCs
Great for increasing the amount of ports your PC has available.Only requires a PCIEx4 3.0 Lane thus rather versatile and can fit in multiple different slots

Easy to fit expensive for what it does.
It’s an expansion card and uses a motherboard slot it requires to use PCIe x 4 slot so in many case will use a full 16 slot if not occupied. The card was immediately recognised by windows 11 pro and no driver required. The card only provides 2 ports of USB-c and advertises 10gb/sec. On each port. I tested the device on each port with a 20gb cable and usb-c NVME SSD . On a standard USB 3 port the SSD will achieve 448mb/sec on a good day. Using the card port the device achieved 1086mb/sec upload and download so 2.5 times the speed of USB 3 - A ports. That is half the advertised speed of the SSD using its own 20gb/sec USB-C . there are newer 20gb/sec cards available being slightly more expensive and with more usb-c sockets .

Perfect for Quest 2!
Bought to run an Oculus Quest 2 with Link cable as my motherboard and graphics card didnt have a Type C port. Easy to install and Quest 2 worked a treat.

No good for Oculus Quest 2 which it was purchased for.
Well this product was got for use with the Oculus Quest 2, sadly it doesn't work as intended, also have the extra power cable connected.Although it will work with the Oculus Quest 2, it not working as advertised.[Charging Issues]While the headset says its charging, I had the headset connected for over an hour it failed to charge that last 1% so it just remained at 99%, I tried both the ports same outcome, however when headset is connected to my graphics card it charges fine.[Bandwidth / Transfer Rate]While it detects the ports as USB 3.x the transfer rate maxes out at about 1.2Gbps on both of the ports where as when connected to my graphics card I get 3 to 4 times that speed.I basically got this card to move the power requirement away from my graphics card due to it costs a lot more than this card.

Potential Motherboard Breaker
I thought this thing nearly fried my motherboard. I would install with extreme caution.

Not capable of transferring DisplayPort signals over USB-C.
I bought this to be able to hook up a Dell hub to my desktop, but, though it doesn't say so here, it is not capable of "DP Alt Mode". This means that you can't use it for video. Probably fine if you just want to use an external drive, but no use to me.
