Good filament, but don't expect any help if issues come up.
The Good:+ It prints well. Sticks to bed fine. Doesn't string much. (I ran it at 200 degrees, 50 for bed)+ It looks nice. Being translucent makes layer lines less obvious too.+ It's relatively cheap. The Bad:- They failed pretty bad at winding the spool. I had to babysit the printer for about 3 hours during one of my prints because of multiple issues with the spool winding. The Terrible:- They don't respond to emails. They've failed to respond to my email with general questions about their products. They've also failed to respond to email about the spool winding issue.-----Verdict:I can't contact them for general questions or with issues. Generally speaking I like to make purchases from companies with decent customer support. In this case, it's a fail. That being said, for smaller prints this filament is pretty good. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time next to your printer if you're printing something bigger.

Nice PLA and great color
I told my son and daughter to pick out their favorite color of filament and I would make something for them. My son picked out this nice see-through blue color from 3D Solutech. I was happy to see it was American made and at a very reasonable price! The color is fantastic. The right color blue for the Detroit fans in my family too. The "Benchy at Sea" wave stand looks realistic with the see-through blue. The filament was within spec when I checked it, and it printed fine right in the middle of the temperature range stated on 3D Solutech's website. No issues so far at all.I'm new at 3D printing, so I don't have much experience with very many brands. But the large American flag on the box, the ease of which this filament printed, and the reasonable price will have me trying other colors of 3D Solutech's filament in the future.

It prints...ish.
Previously I have used Hatchbox and 3d Hero filament. WIth hatchbox it was solid grey and went through a full spool. This was followed by 1.8 spools of 3d Hero transluscent (clear). Aside from problems with my initial Ender 3 which were eventually resolved the prints came out nice and clean on the replacement after (more tweaks) and a good quality slicer profile (Fat Dragon Games).I had high hopes for the Solutech translucent orange for a project I am working on involving LED light pads and RPG terrain.Immediately on the glass bed the filament stuck like a charm for about 20 minutes then the print came apart so I had to clean the bed, put some glue stick down and restart. Second print stuck like a charm and printed a fairly large piece... until the last 1/8 inch of the print where part of the adhesion came undone. When the print finished the walls of the piece felt rather... flexible and squishy. Nowhere near the hardness of a print with Hatchbox (which I find dry and powdery) or the 3d Hero clear (which is hard as stone) using the same slicer settings. I felt like I could literally smash the model in my fingers if I wanted to. SO hard clearcoat it was to save the model. A couple coats of paint and it hardened up but I shouldn't have to have done this to save the model.I thought perhaps my print bed or extruder were out of wack so I re-adjusted them and printed some smaller pieces. This time the prints looked absolutely flawless, though the print took a bit longer to complete than I would have hoped. That said when it was finished I was excited to get them off the glass. Unfortunately these pieces were every bit as "crunchy" and brittle feeling as before. I could crush the models between my fingers if I wanted. I will be able to save them with a hard clearcoat of spraypaint but again... the expectation is that the models be as hard and strong as they possibly can be and this folks... just isn't it.Pictures won't tell the story on this. Its a sound and flimsiness I didn't expect. Too bad. I was really hoping this would be the stuff!

Beware of brittle filament (old stock?)
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Had good luck with Solutech in the past but this roll has been a mess. It prints beautifully, then a section of brittle filament comes up, it snaps at the extruder gear, doesn’t align into the bowden tube and the print fails. Translucent PETG from them has been excellent, but the translucent PLA is no good.

Looks good but way too brittle to use
This filament looks great. I love the color in normal lighting and it is super fluorescent under UV light. I could not be happier with how it looks visually. I got really good quality prints using this and I didn't have to adjust any settings to use it other than temperature. I have an Ender 3 V2.Unfortunately this is the most brittle filament I've ever used. It snaps like spaghetti. It can't stand to be in any position other than how it is on the roll otherwise it will snap within minutes. It snapped several times while printing causing me to restart. If I leave it going into my printer overnight which shut off then in the morning I'll find that the filament snapped in 15 places in the bowden tube between my dry box and the printer in and inside the bowden tube going to the nozzle. It is really really annoying and will definitely make me use this less often. I'll be looking for a non-transparent UV green product to use in the future since I hear that the chemicals added to get the translucence is what makes it brittle.I also think that the spool was poorly wound with overlaps (pictured) that caused it to stop feeding and ruin a print. It's possible that it was wound correctly and that it got messed up whenever it snapped and unwound on itself which happened A LOT. Never the less, it's a problem that I shouldn't have to deal with. I opened this brand new spool and put it directly into my drop box which directly feeds my printer and keeps humidity at 10%. Under ideal conditions this disappointed.

Doesn't adhere. Wouldn't buy again.
Bought 8 reels of different colours when on offer Xmas 2018. Good Price. But just to warn folk looking to buy filament in the future.I wouldn't buy this PLA filament again nor would I recommend others do so.Had no issues with other brandless filaments. But have major issues with this adhering to the bedThis is on the popular Creality Ender 3 with a mirror bed.The Black printed flawlessly with no issues.Had to majorly play around with temperature to get the orange to work.As it stands the Real Blue, Navy and See Through Purple just aren't adhering.Yet to test White, Apple Green and Real Red.A number of Reddit threads reporting similar to myself.Looks like a brand trading on a previously good reputation that have changed the formula and knackered their product.

Saludos

NO DESPERDICIES TU DINERO
