handle came off of the actual blade part while gutting my deer.

Can't beat this knife for the price. Every hunter needs a couple knives in every bag/vehicle. This is definitely one to purchase again.

The blade is not secured properly to the handle. The first time I tried to use the gut hook it all came apart.

Just as the other reviewer stated, the handle isn't secured to the knife. So, when you try to use the gut hook the blade and shank pull right out of the knife.Also, the gut hook isn't that sharp, and is curved, so it is really difficult to sharpen the actually cutting edge of the gut hook. Combine the rather dull edge that came from the factory with the handle that comes off and the gut hook portion of the this knife is pretty useless.I was able to sharpen the knife blade portion and it cuts pretty well.

Rubber handle slide off in not careful

Excited to gut a deer with this knife. Blade is alright, handle feels very good. Perfect sized knife in my eyes. Very good knife for the price.

I received this in March 2015. Shipping was fast and didn't come damaged. Great all purpose knife so far for the price. Only reason this didn't get 5 stars from me was because the knife could use a sharper edge. But, that's fine since I always sharpen my knives to my liking. Worth the buy I think.

The blade is really thin. Looks like it may break if used hard. The main issue is that the tang doesn't go right to the butt of the handle and with the handle material being soft rubber like it is, the butt end feels weak and you can move it around. If you are looking for a cheap skinner, there are better options on Amazon like the Elk Ridge. Maybe a szco with a wooden handle would be better but the thin blade makes this knife a hard no. Gave it 2 stars because of the price.
