Garden Winds Universal Pergola Replacement Canopy - Standard 350 - Palm

Size was about 4 inches short on the top. The openings for the side bars to slip into we too small. Could not slide bars properly into the slots. Used tie downs to hold into place.

It is waterproof, but definitely need weighted rods. We are adding screwed in hooks to the pergola to hook in the rods. If a good wind gets it, it becomes a flying spear. Good but needs some adjustments to keep it attached to the pergola better than just the ties it comes with.

Looks well built, but has some areas where it fell short of the original that came on my pergola from Sears/Lowe’s. This replacement filters out SIGNIFICANTLY less light, making it brighter and warmer underneath it. The ties are attached to the fabric while the originals tie to the rod. This doesn’t allow for the fabric to fold under the rod when you want one side shorter without the other becoming longer. I fished my old ties out of the trash and used them. This is a universal replacement that covers many models, so I’m not really upset that it’s about 8” narrower than the pergola was built for, this just means less shade. Next time I will be looking for a model closer to the original, primarily for a thicker material.Update: after a few weeks I’m even less happy with the product. Because of the thinner material, the fabric slides completely to one side in even the slightest breeze or touch. You can’t have both sides half down for long, it will draw all to one side. The original fabric was thicker and resisted the weight of the rod more successfully.

This is a sturdy cover that works great. It holds up in descent wind if tied down well. The ties are strong and will last a few years. I would like to see some different colors in the future.

This is the 2nd time we've bought from this company. Gazebo coverings don't last forever you know! Very happy with our purchase. The reason I gave 4 starts is because it is longer than the original one that came with the gazebo. It doesn't sound like a big difference but being longer it does block breeze that used to come through. Thanks.

I bought the pergola years ago at Sears. The cover was left on during an 85 mph wind storm and got shredded. I went over a year without replacing it because I thought it would be too expensive, but it was too hot on my grill patio. When I looked at the Garden Winds website, these were about $100, but here it was about $25 less. And I really like this color, it matches the blonde brick on my house. This one has grommets to let the water through too, so it doesn't sag as bad as the old one did when it rains. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product!

This canopy is truly a good buy for the price I will buy another replacement.

This tarp does what it is intended for, it protects me from the Georgia sun. After reading online reviews, I am reluctant to leave it outside during rain or high winds. Of course, taking it in before it rains, then putting it back out on sunny days has already become a nuisance.

We are totally happy with this sturdy product! Great quality and has already survived a few wind storms and lots of rain. Pole ties are well constructed and gromets on holes enable rain to drain through, preventing huge pools forming and ruining the canopy.I had read some negative reviews online, but none of them seemed to be true in our case. Highly recommend.

We bought this to replace our old canopy cover, which had lasted over 5 years and was of similar material. Not even 2 years later, this canopy is ripping at almost all the seams (see attached picture). We only use it for less than 5 months of the year and it is in storage for the remainder. I am very disappointed with the poor quality and would rather spend more money on a better quality product.

I had purchased this exact product last year and was ver pleased with the quality and look. After a really bad storm with heavy winds my canopy cover ripped. I reordered right away and what came was a cheap plastic gold shiny tarp, similar to a cheap raincoat. It was very small and ties where short. Frankly, I would expect this in a dollar store, but I had paid over a hundred dollars. Total rip off! Seller of course didn’t respond for refund, but I did get an Amazon refund. DO NOT BUY.

Just put it up on the weekend. It kept sun out. Part of it was stitched wrong though and there is a sort of dart of bunched up material as a result. I just thought I hadn’t pulled it across right, but it is a definite flaw in stitching in the third section of the cover. Not even at the end. So not sure how that happened or was missed in quality control.

Decent replacement cover for our pergola. The material is thinner than the original......which makes it easier to install. It also is a touch more shiny than the original. Kind of a sateen sheen, compared to the matte original. This one comes with grommet holes for drainage. Not very accurate placement though, for the proper drainage. Treated the top side of the fabric with scotch guard before installing. No noticed colour change, and there was no soak through during the first rain. Time will tell with overall durability.
