Ok quality for the price i will not purchase again due to the quality not being very good but for the price it is not bad at all i will spend the extra 10 dollars to get a more sturdy solar shade . I will still leave a 5 star review because it will do the job and that is protect from the sun

I bought the 30x50 90% shade cloth to cover my chicken runs to help protect them from the horrible heat wave in Ohio. Initially upon opening the package, there was an odor from the shade cloth, but that’s to be expected from a product like this. We are using it outside, and by the time we got it up, the odor had dissipated. The cloth truly did block so much sun-I read all the negative reviews prior to purchasing and a lot of them mentioned that this 90% cloth didn’t block the sun like it should have, but this one did exactly that. The temperature difference underneath the cloth is at least 10° from the outside yard, which is a welcome break for my birds. I will buy this again as needed to help keep them cool. Impressed.

The fabric of this shade cloth is very thin. I have purchased the 20'x20' several times with the expectation that it will last 1 season. The grommets and edging are strong enough that it can be secured against strong wind. The light weight of the fabric allows wind to blow through without damaging the shade or straining whatever you attach it to. The down side of the light weight is that it snags easily on branches or fence wire which starts a tear and tangle the cloth. These don't last a long time like a heavier shade sail, but allow more light for plants and require less anchoring. These are perfect for bringing down excessive heat and sun in our vegetable garden with the expectation that a new one will be needed each summer.

I purchased multiple of these shade sails for use at an outdoor paintball field where they are exposed to normal weather conditions, including sun, wind, and occasional rain. Unfortunately, I have been very disappointed with their durability. Within just a few months of installation, several of the grommets began pulling out of the material. At first it was only one or two, but over time more and more failed, even though the sails were installed correctly and tensioned reasonably. Once the grommets started coming out, the surrounding fabric quickly began to tear. We now have multiple rips throughout the shade sails, particularly around the attachment points. These are not being used in an extreme environment and were purchased specifically for outdoor use, so I expected them to last much longer than a single season. The shade provided was great while they were intact, and installation was straightforward. However, the overall construction quality does not seem sufficient for long-term outdoor use. The weak points appear to be the grommet reinforcement and stitching around the edges. Once those areas started failing, the damage spread quickly. For anyone considering these for a backyard, event venue, sports field, playground, or commercial application, I would recommend looking closely at other options with heavier-duty reinforced corners and attachment points. Based on my experience, these did not hold up nearly as well as expected and will likely need replacement far sooner than they should. Pros: * Easy to install * Good shade coverage * Looks nice initially Cons: * Grommets pulling out after only a few months * Fabric tearing around attachment points * Not durable enough for long-term outdoor use * Poor value considering the short lifespan Overall, I cannot recommend these based on durability alone. I expected years of service and instead started seeing failures within months.

Great shade for outside animals in N. TX. We use these each summer for our goats and horses to have shade without having to stand under the barn. It provides a solid 10-25 degree difference for the animals! Our goats all lay under the shade during the day. The horses enjoy standing and eating under the shade nets as well. Our horses don't sweat during the summer while standing outside so we've cut down on having to purchase as many electrolytes for them to keep them drinking since they don't lose salt thru sweating. I purchase these every year because I forget to take them down in the fall and the wind and winter always et to them BUT They are cheap enough that I can purchase each year and get my money's worth. LOVE these!

Bought this as a garden shade for the mid summer heat. Used paracord to tie it to the fence posts, T posts for the front support, and zip ties. Has enough “give” that wind doesn’t tear it, it just billows as needed. Plants still get the rain and enough sun. Easy enough to take down in the fall and store until needed next summer.

New concept for me but pleasantly surprised. Wasn't sure if anything would grow under it but after just 1 week my dying heat stroked garden started coming back (no other changes, same water, care etc). On the 3 ft sides there is no center grommet, just on the corners. On the 13 ft sides there are the corner grommets and 3 evenly spaced grommets in between and they line up with the opposite side (another brand I got at same time the grommets don't line up at all, important when trying to figure out spacing posts it will be hung off of). The tarp does stretch some but that's good as the crazy winds haven't torn it, and lifting it to reach under it hasn't torn it either. So far it goes back into shape. I chose this size due to straight line of narrow raised beds and still able to walk between rows without ducking (I bought just 1 to see quality, now I'm buying more same size) A larger size to cover everything I figure would blow all over the place, whack us in the throat, and if tears then you're out the whole piece, vs smaller more options, easier to set up/take down quickly. The seam along the edges is thick/sturdy, has kept the grommets from tearing out. Has been over a month thru FL storms, if it lasts thru summer I'll be happy, if it lasts longer even better. The 40% seems to let enough sun thru for plant growth but not too much for stressing them. No problem with rain passing thru the netting, it does sag some with the weight of the water then goes back into shape when dries.

Bought the 50% black 6.6x10 shade cloth, was on sale for $15.99. Was defective right out of the bag, grommets fell out upon opening it and the stitching was undone as well. "50% shade" seemed a bit of a stretch, didn't dare take it outside to test it, dont think it would've survived. Felt flimsy and delicate, like those budget friendly trash bags you find at some hotels. Felt like low density polyethylene, not the usual high density (HDPE) you get with most shade cloths or tarps. Had a heck of a time folding it back up into its original shape for return, sides didnt line up, not rectangular. Other than a costume party accessory or an indoor decorative use, I wouldn't recommend it for outdoor use.

Great quality for the price and size was accurate fit. Our pergola was damaged before this item arrived and we replaced with a different unit. Vendor was easy to deal with for returning the item.

Hmmmm. If this is 70% shade, I'm a mongoose. Spoiler alert. I'm not. Very loose weave. Not as much shade as I was expecting, so I repaired and left the previous shadecloth up as well. The one you can see the sky through is the new one. The corners and grommets seem sturdy.

It is the right size and the quality looks good. Time will tell. It arrived early which we really appreciated.
