Great alternative to bulky, heavy, knot prone hoses.
PROS:* Like a sheathed slinky. This thing easily twists and turns making it nigh impossible to knot or tangle through regular use.* Stretch definitely is nice since it means I get to store something shorter in length than it is capable of reaching.^* Great fittings. The fittings appear solid and fit and tighten nicely.* Okay price point. It seems a good price for the product. I feel its a good value.* Comes with a bag (?), a hook attachment that lets you hang the hose on it, a few spare o-rings. The end of the hose also has a valve attached!* Lightweight. This thing is easy to tote around! While I'm not sure I'll be recycling my old hoses, I do know I won't be climbing a ladder in my garage to take them out of storage anytime soon. Or have to worry about winding them back up for storage. Or lugging around the massive weight (100ft hoses). Or devastating plants and flowers just because I tugged the wrong way and the hose bulldozed over them. Or worry about water getting caught in the hose during storage (since these stretchy ones make it easy to empty as you coil them around your arm).CONS:* Quality might be a concern. I see the fabric has frayed on one small section of the hose on my first use. I did NOT notice if it was there before or after my first use. But it's there. Not a huge deal as long as it doesn't compromise the hose. I'll update the review if it becomes a problem.Use:I use them in place of a regular hose without all of the negatives shown above. One thing. I bought a 100ft hose. It certainly isn't that unfurled. Probably stretched, but you'd have to maintain tension to reach 100ft. This makes sense and should be expected, but I didn't really think too much about it when I ordered it. So, I ordered a second one. I don't want to have to tug too much or stress the hose or possibly damage stuff along its path to maintain the tension necessary to achieve maximum length. I'm okay with that. Just something to consider.Fun fact: If you lay it out, and then have some people over and turn on the hose (leaving the end closed), it will begin to writhe on the floor and might spook a few folk. Even stepping on it while the water is on will cause some dramatic motion. It is kind of fun to watch.

Good hose
Only 3 star on durability because I only got it one month ago...Only issue is if I use a head that has a higher flow it drains the water in the hose faster and makes it start to retract shortening the hose. Otherwise it works great and is super light.

GETS THE JOB DONE
I love the idea of an expandable hose and this one gets a passing grade. Not confident it will last 5 years--and I plan to store it indoors for the winter. I would be willing to pay far more for a well made expandable hose with an outer lining that doesn't snag. Also, most of the settings on the nozzle don't work but I get what I need from it with the "mist" and "center" settings. Haven't tried attaching a different nozzle yet.

Great Hose Until it Wasn't
This hose was a great improvement over the traditional inflexible rubber hoses that I had previously used. I had been warned in reviews that these types of hoses suffered from one major issue - they developed pin hole leaks at a much faster rate than a traditional garden hose. The hose which I bought in late March received very light duty during the summer and performed beautifully. However, it just developed a pin hole leak that I'm sure will become worse as time goes by. What's worse is that there doesn't appear to be any way to make a warranty claim, as Amazon refers you to the manufacturer and the manufacturer (which I believe is some Chinese outfit called "WYEWYE) offers no site, address or telephone # to facilitate the making of a claim. There is a site, but no warranty information is contained on it. The product is sold by ZL-Hightech, which is similarly impossible to locate for purposes of making a warranty claim. It seems to me that Amazon has a responsibility to assure that companies selling products on its site offer some semblance of a warranty and a procedure by which a claim can be made.

Didn't even make it one year
I bought this in August 2020 and It started to shred by the second use but it didn't leak. I used it for the summer and then put it back in its bag for the winter. I brought is back out in April and yesterday May 14th the inner lining pulled away form the end and it started to leak like crazy. There is no fix for this hose as far as I can tell and for the money, I thought I would have gotten more seasons out of it. Not worth the buy. By the way, this hose does get tangled and it does kink a lot. The only thing true about it is its copper parts are tough, it is light weight and it does shrink and expand.

Not for gardening or drinkable water use! Worst chemical smell ever!
I do not take the time to leave bad reviews except when I think its really necessary.First of all I noticed the strongest chemical smell from right through the package before I even opened it.After I opened it, within a minute I started feeling nausea from the smell. I only pulled the instruction sheet out to see what it said. First line says " Do not drink from this hose"! Being that I purchased this hose to water my food garden, I immediately processed a return. I had to put the package in my vehicle the next morning so I could drop it off to be mailed back. Within 5 minutes the whole inside of my vehicle smelled like the horrible chemical smell right through the package from this hose! I had to ride with every window fully down until I got rid of it and for the rest of the drive to air the smell out. Of course back when I was reading the instruction sheet, at the bottom it also said " made in china"! That explains everything! My husband, who ordered it, didn't catch that. I will definitely replace this item with another made in USA hose like I already have a shorter one of!
