Rubbish quality and also ‘ not our fault’ customer care !!
Purchased a pair for my girlfriend, they started to leak after less than 3 months light usage !!Supplier ( Legend Footwear ) quoted 30 days return policy and also no refund because issue had been caused by ‘wear & tear’ !!Don’t dare to put your feet in them and walk in them !!Hunters themselves also refused refund because they were purchased from an unauthorised dealer( Amazon take note)Quality of Hunters products has deteriorated immensely over the years so I recommend avoiding altogether, I know I will !!!

The quality of Hunter Wellies has deteriorated greatly over the years
The very first Hunters I bought lasted for 25 years and I lived in them virtually night and day for dog walking, horse riding and the occasional festival. They might have lasted even longer but one got lost during a house move so I had to buy another pair. Sadly, the quality of these was clearly not as good as my original pair and have lasted for just less than five years (which is still a reasonably good performance, just not exceptional, as before). These were slightly taller than my original pair and ended up cracking along the sole, leaking at the heel and the rubber splitting over the top of the foot. Still, I love the style of Hunters and based on past good reputation I bought yet another pair. On arrival I was less than impressed with the quality of the boots. They now look very cheap indeed. It's as if the manufacturer has dramatically cut costs by using the cheapest materials available but is still charging high end retail prices. When I tried the boots on, I found that the interior soles were smaller than the actual length of the boots leaving an uncomfortable gap at the toes. Needless to say, I have returned them. It's such a shame that the standards have slipped so drastically on what was originally an exceptionally good product.

WARNING DO NOT BUY!!Not an authorized stockist - probably fakesSplit - see photo. Light use. Both boots splitting at the same spot.Hunter won't help as these ppl are not authorized sellers.Please don't be naive like me. Waste of money!!

Brilliant pair of well fitting boots
I bought these boots at the last minute for Download Rock Festival at Donnington Park. Weather forecast was for rain, fields were already flooded so wellingtons were needed urgently. Ordered these hunter boots which came promptly the next day, just in time to pack. They fitted perfectly, are really comfortable (and I wore them for virtually 48 hours non stop!) and are very stylish. Totally fit for purpose and give the feel good factor. I would have no hesitation in recommending these boots as highly as I possibly can.

Buy Directly from Hunters
The boots were cheap looking in a horrible navy & were too small around the ankle, wished I just got them on the hunters website as I’ve had a nightmare time trying to return the boots !!!! With “ ShoeMetro“ I followed instructions to print label the issue was I had to take them back to a Hermes parcel shop miles away....!! When I email Amazon and ShoeMetro neither could tell me if I could go to one that was near to my house . I google it myself and there was a Hermes parcel shop less than a mile away .When I was told in a email you need to go to the one on the LABEL. Unacceptable buy directly from Hunters!

Don’t buy Hunter boots on Amazon
Warning: Don’t buy Hunter wellies from Famous Footwear or from any other seller on Amazon. I discovered to my cost that the Hunter 2 year guarantee is only valid if you purchase them from an “authorised” seller. My (expensive!!) wellies developed small cracks and leaks after light wear in only 5 months. Famous Footwear said that they couldn’t do anything about it as it was over 30 days since they were purchased and, on the basis of a photo, decided that the cracks were due to “wear and tear” despite the Hunter guarantee being for 2 years. Hunter wellies don’t seem to be manufactured with the same high-quality materials as in the past - my original Hunter wellies are well over 25 years old and haven’t developed any cracks or leaks. If you want to be covered by the Hunter 2year guarantee then DON’T buy through Famous Footwear or Amazon.

Overpriced poor quality product
These were a replacement pair for a pair that leaked in that were purchased in 2017. Unfortunately within 12 months the replacement have also started to leak. These boots come with a 2 year guarantee from Hunter and so Amazon replaced the first pair but now refuse to replace the second pair. Hunter refuse to honour the guarantee as Amazon are not an authorised supplier. These boots are overpriced for such poor quality and if you purchase from Amazon you are unlikely to get a replacement if they fail within the 2 year warranty period.

Stroppy company with appalling customer service skills - read this before purchasing from them
I have been an Amazon Customer for aggggeeees, and this is the first time I have felt compelled to write any kind of negative review, but I feel it important for others to see this before using this company. I received the boots and straight away thought "mmm... not sure they are real". I have had Hunters before, and this pair just didn't feel right to me. So, I took another look at the reviews for them on Amazon and saw that others people had felt the same. Furthermore, on the occasions that the boots did malfunction, getting a refund from this company seemed a nightmare. The boots are not cheap, so I decided to go with my instinct, return them on the basis that they didn't seem quite right, and buy from Hunter direct. Amazon - utterly brilliant as always - approved the request straight away and having boxed the boots up, I gave the matter no more thought. However, I have today received an e-mail from the company stating that I am wrong: that the boots are real, and that if I still want to return them, then "I am welcome" to submit a return request. This was my response:"I have already made a return request - authorised by Amazon - and do not to be told to do this by you, thanks. If someone wants to return something in the "no quibble" 30 day refund period, then don't quibble. And certainly don't send me e-mails telling me I am wrong. No wonder your company gets such bad reviews."Avoid :)
