I'm using it people.
I ordered this hand sanitizer because I cannot find it anywhere near my home, zip, zilch, nada. My assumption is that this company is using their licensed kitchen to try and fill a perceived need in communities and in my case they are correct. It was packaged safely and arrived in good time. It is made with ethyl alcohol and so it smells a bit like....tequila. A few minutes after you apply it you can really only smell the aloe. All this to say, these are tough times folks. Hand sanitizer is not as good as washing your hands but is better than doing nothing. I've used the gallon jug to fill small containers to carry in our vehicles and fill my 88 and 91 year old parents containers as well. I've made my own products before and am going to trust that this company researched what they needed to in order to make an effective product. From everything I've read the alcohol content seems to be adequate. I appreciate their effort and having this option. While I wish it had less alcohol aroma, I think it is effective and that was my main goal. Thanks to Uncle Pete's I can feel like we are a bit better protected.

Smell Is Not as Bad
After searching for hand sanitizer, I chose the Uncle Pete's Premium Hand Sanitizer with Aloe and Vitamin E because of the 70% alcohol, aloe, vitamin E, not too strong smell and supposedly it had the same viscosity as honey. I wanted a gel, but most were either too expensive or, according to reviews, had strong non-pleasant smell. So far, I'm not disappointed with the purchase of Uncle Pete's Premium Hand Sanitizer. It has strong alcohol odor when it's first applied, but after it dries up it leaves a clean soap smell. It also dries quickly without leaving hands sticky. The consistency is a little in the watery side, not quite as thick as honey but thick enough. We use it to fill two 10 oz bottles that we have sitting on a counter and five 2 oz bottle that we use when going out to the supermarket or store. Although alcohol smell is not necessarily pleasant, the fact that this product leaves a strong alcohol smell when first applied tells me, IMO, that it has the necessary potency to kills most germ and/or viruses. I recommend it.

Smells like whiskey
I am grateful we now have sanitizer in times of short supply like now. But as soon as I opened the bottle or jug, it smelled like whiskey. My wife a few minutes later came into the dining room and got a wiff. She too thought it smelled like whiskey. I decided to bite the bullet and suck it up by keeping the gallon. I would not order it again, due to the smell.Sorry to have to say this.

Recommended
I like it. It is aloe gel based as described and the hands feel moisturised. The smell is good. It has this faint flowery smell which stays on your hands for over two hours now since I have tried it on. Some reviews said the smell is awful. I found out when one first rubbed it on or just tried to smell the opened bottle, the smell was not particularly good, but it gets better as it stays on the hand longer. I definitely recommended it. It shipped in a box which fitted the gallon bottle just right and the bottle is wrapped in plastic bag for leak prevention. Very thoughtful vendor.

Uncle Pete's Hand Sanitizer
I ordered a gallon of Uncle Pete's hand sanitizer because the name brand sanitizers are not available. When I first took the cap off and took a whiff I said to my wife, oh-oh, this doesn't smell too good. We both put it on our hands and were pleasantly surprised by how nice it feels and smells! Great product and if it was just a bit thicker I would give it five stars.

Great hand sanitizer that is available during COVID-19
For comparison purposes ONLY, Uncle Pete’s Hand Sanitizer is slightly thinner than Purell, which is not an issue. My hands smell good and feel very soft after using Uncle Pete’s. It is a quality product that meets FDA requirements and I feel safe and confident using this product.

Watery - Not Gel
This is liquid hand sanitizer....NOT GEL. They delivered very quickly ordered Thursday and had it Tuesday and smells good....that's their two stars. For some reason I thought I ordered a gel and the ingredients list has glycerin second behind water in the inactive ingredients. Of course that means there's more vitamin E than aloe in it...?If you don't mind watery sanitizer...it will do. If you're looking for gel...it worthless.
