Very disappointed, I immediately let the manufacturer know
My original shipment arrived defective. It would turn on, but not heat up. Very disappointed, I immediately let the manufacturer know, as well as Amazon and I returned the item for credit, which was provided in 24 hrs. However, I also received a direct contact from the mfg. who offered to send me a replacement at no cost, as they want to stand by their products and customers. I've just received it and it works wonderfully! This would be a 5-star otherwise!

Best Flat Iron!
I had purchased a professional flat iron from an Aveda salon over 8 years ago and I was left in a panic when it died last week. I needed something relatively soon, but also wanted to do comparison shopping to make sure that the next flat iron would be even better. I eagerly turned it on when received it, but much to my horror, it would not work. I tried a few different things and even had my husband try it, but it would not turn on. I had read the brochure to contact the company, so I decided to do that before contacting Amazon for a refund. I was a bit leery and frustrated, but I wanted to give this company a chance to earn my business.I was absolutely astonished and amazed at the response from the owner, Al Baker. I never expected the owner of the company to quickly respond to me and it spoke volumes. He stated that he had a replacement in the mail and to properly dispose of the defective one. He clearly stands behind his product and wants his customers to be completely satisfied. I am still in awe of the superior customer service that I received. Needless to say, they have a customer for life!I tried the flat iron and it is phenomenal. It is light, quick and efficient. I am a multi-racial person with curly hair and sometimes finding the right tool can be a challenge. I need something that will do the job without causing damage. I was able to quickly straighten my hair and it looked salon good!I am selective in writing reviews, but I could not pass up the opportunity to first, recommend a top notch product and secondly, give kudos to the excellent customer service I received. This company has gone above and beyond in the customer service department. If you think they don't read your reviews, you are oh so wrong.My first review: On my first attempt using this on my hair, a piece of my hair got caught in the digital display. Not a great way to start out. Returned.UPDATE....the company contacted me on my complaint and advised that they are sending me another one. Thank you!I received the new iron today and it is perfect. Glides through my long hair and straightens as it should. Now, one of my hairs did manage to get in the digital display again, but it wasn't one attached to my head. It was a loose one.

4year warranty, yeah ok.
I have had my straightener a little over 6 months. It started pulling my hair real bad and the digital display either doesn't work at all or you can't even tell what the numbers are. They say to email them before leaving a review, well I did that 2 weeks ago and got to response.

6th Sense Professional Flat Iron received it 2 days after stated date, but it was our usps's late delivery and not AK Professionals fault.This flat iron heats up pretty quick.I have fine hair, and this flat iron makes my hair have static cling all the time.I don't know how to prevent this from happening.I have to go over my hair more than once.

I would love this if the chord was a little longer AND if it had a velcro tie to secure the chord when not in use. Otherwise it is a great buy for the money. Works great!
