I picked up the GAN 356 M to replace my old standard Rubik’s cube, and the difference is massive. Right out of the box, it turns super smoothly and feels really light in your hands. The best part is definitely the magnets. They give each turn a subtle click that helps line up the sides automatically. If you're turning fast and your alignment is a bit off, the corner-cutting handles it effortlessly without jamming or popping pieces out. The plastic has a nice matte finish too, so it doesn't get slippery or show scratches easily. The only thing to note is how fast it moves. If you're used to a stiffer cube, this might feel a little loose or slippery at first until you get used to it. It also comes set up pretty standard, so there isn't a huge box of extra spring parts to swap out like some of the super expensive cubes. Overall, it makes solving really fun and feels way more high-end than its price tag suggests. Definitely worth it if you want to speed up your solves or just want a cube that feels great to use!

My teen son loves this. It slides smoothly and is well made. The original Rubik's cube is so hard to turn and does not easily line up like this cube. I highly recommend this as a gift.

I've been using this cube every day for about five months now, and it's been awesome. its amazing how much better a good cube can make you! this is a amazing cube especially for the price. 30 d0llars may seem a bit hefty for a Rubik's cube but when you get it you see where the money went. it is fast maneuverable any easy to handle.durability is quite good but be careful not to drop it. I dropped it on hardwood and it damaged it slightly but not to big of a deal. but the one thing I will say is this is not a beginner cube because of the price this is for people who can solve the cube and want a better one or have a cube collection and want a good 3x3 for the collection. I did some tests and here are the results for me.( I'm reviewing this product about 4 months after purchase ) before the gan I averaged about 35 to 40 seconds with a few 29 second personal bests. when I got this I dropped to around 35 seconds only no 40 second solves. after about 2 months I was consistently getting under 35 seconds to 25 seconds setting my personal best at 25 seconds. 4 months later with a lot of practice mind you I am now always under 30 seconds and have a personal best of 19 seconds. this cube has done wonders for me and improved my cubing hobby. highly recommend. however most of that skill increase was via practice and learning new algorithms the cube did help me quite a bit. my only complaint is that in order to keep the cube functional and healthy a large amount of lube and lots of cleaning. I use a tooth brush to clean it and a rag and I use speed cube shop martian lube and weight 6.i can say with confidence that this is the best cube I own. and I hope my review helped you to decide if you want this cube. happy cubing!! :)

I had my first 3x3 cube like 3 weeks ago and it was a decent but bad cube. It would sometimes lock up and stop turning and was slow just like the OG rubiks brand cube. Once i got my hands on these the speed difference really got me confused because the Gan cube was just too fast for me at first but once i got used to it and i timed myself i beat my personal best with the gan cube in my first try. Literally just too good and is also good for beginners like me and other cubers. My original record was 56 seconds and on my first time with the Gan cube i beat it at 51 seconds. I thinks its pretty good because i learned to solve a cube 2 weeks ago and with the Gan i will definitely beat my 51 second record. Edit: Day 1 of using cube i got a personal best time of 41.17 seconds. Day 2 of using cube i got a PB of 36.05 seconds once again i greatly recommend this cube. I had a PB of 56 seconds with my previous old cube but with this one i now have a 20 second difference in the time it takes to solve. Edit: After a couple or weeks the cube ive come to notice that the cube locks up very often but some lubricant should fix it. I would say this is great for beginners but you would need some lube to keep up with the same speed it came out of the box. You would also need to clean it so i wouldnt recommend this cube for beginners who have like never touched a cube. However it is still good for a little more experienced people with knowledge on how to use lubricant or disassemble the cube and reassemble it. Ive also been noticing an annoying spring sound when turning the cube.

My son is obsessed with Rubik’s cubes and has been asking for one that turns really smoothly, like the speed cubes he sees online. This one did not disappoint. The movement is incredibly smooth and fast compared to the basic cubes we’ve had before. He was so excited when he tried it and hasn’t put it down since. If you have a kid who loves cubes or is trying to get faster at solving them, this one is definitely worth it. My older children were also amazed at how different (much smoother) the ones they had were.
