The solar charger is a great feature. However it the accuracy is off 2-3 degrees F higher

my pool is definitely not as warm as it says. has to be as least 7 degrees off. the buttons don't work all the time and the default setting is Celsius, I'm not sure if it can be changed. battery lasts a while and it is very easy to read, but it's useless to read it if you know it's wrong.

1. The white stem on the bottom that contains the Temp Sensor float on the side on the surface so the Temp is of top 1/4 inch of water. I weighted the Stem so it hangs below the top-float.2. The Temp reader turns itself OFF so to read the water temp you must take the gauge out of the water turn it on, select C or F temperatures.So far the Solar works to measure the Temp.The only reason for my 2 rating is I'm keeping it but I will never buy another from this Chinese company.We shipped them our trash.... they shipped us their junk. The world is in balance: China stopped taking our trash we should reciprocate?

Seems to work fine. I do not like that I have to push the button to get F reading each time. It tends to float on its side.

This product is junk. Save your money and buy something else. Bought one for my unground pool. You have to pick it up and change it to F each time you want to check the temperature unless you can read it in C. Had two weeks and stared giving wrong temperature reading. Say my pool is 96.6 one day which would have been like bath water but when I got in it was definitely not 96.6 F. I usually buy a new one every couple of years but this one did not last two weeks. Save your money. Good luck!!!

1. There were no instructions in the package. On-line Questions said "just turn it on"2. As you can see from the picture - it isn't even close to giving the correct temperature. It reads 102 F when an actual thermometer reads about 85 F.3. pressing the RESET button didn't solve the problem4. I haven't found anything that tells me how to calibrate it so that it will give correct readings.Basically - it's a useless piece of floating junk!

easy to read worth the price.

It's not balanced well, sometimes it's on side, than measurement is from air not water. For reading need to press button, so if you are not in water, jump in, than you can feel temperature yourself :) :)

I liked the digital numbers and it was easy to read. After it was in the pool for a week the numbers went out of control and read 55.3C or 125.5F....and has not gone back to normal.Very disappointed!
