Great look, fit, functionality and install but still just plastic.
2002 Dodge Ram 1500, 4x4, 5.9 Liter, SLT with Crew Cab. Great fit and functionality with a total install time of about 10 minutes; don't over torque the T-30? bolts on the tailgate. The OEM is plastic and this part is plastic so it feels as if someone could just break into it in a few seconds but it is better than nothing for protecting your tailgate; more of a deterrent that an prevention measure. They should make a metal powder coated version and just charge $75 or so; if I get a locking tonneau cover that is what I'm getting.

10 minutes from potential stolen tailgate to locked tailgate!
I was able to replace my OEM 2006 Dodge RAM 2500 non-locking tailgate handle with this one.After removing the torx screws from the tailgate mechanism cover, your unclip the two rod plastic holdersand two nuts. Drop the old one, replace with this and boom done. 10 minutes (using a drill with the torx bit).The key and lock work great.I've been reading about tailgates being stolen off of pickups in my town, so this is peace of mind.

Not the best and Not the worst
This product isn't that bad you get what you pay for and its true it does feel like cheap plastic,but it gets the job done and prevents someone from trying to steal your tail gate. I would've given it 5 stars if the material quality was better. I placed the Chrome cover over mines so it feels thicker now. Installation was fairly simple. Good luck !
