Glidecam Smooth Shooter Support Arm and Vest for use with Glidecam 2000 Pro, Glidecam 4000 Pro, Glidecam HD-2000 or Glidecam HD-4000

It is very good, very strong material, is easy to set up a new camera when you already have a little practice. The only bad thing is how to mount the camera, because it has no easy way to mount and dismount, I had to invest about $ 50 more for to add a mount easy to disassemble, with a little practice is a good team to take that will make your video is better especially shots, according to people, to tour buildings.

Glidecam makes a truly wonderful product and they have done it again with the smooth shooter. This is my first vest/arm set up but have been using my HD2000 for music video shoots for about a year now. I love their sleds and with the addition of the smooth shooter to my gear I really feel it helped step my game up. Takes can be longer and my arm is no longer shaking by the end of the song.I also thought there would be a big learning curve to operating with the vest on. I found it a very easy and fun transition and felt very confident with my results within the first hour of playing around with it. This past shoot I used my 60D coupled with Canons 14mm 2.8 and my newly purchased Swivi monitor (another great product that I am very happy with, especially for the price which was surprising.)Definitely leave yourself time for figuring out where the best placement on the cheeseplate is for you, and read blogs/manuals about removing and adding springs to the arm. Once you get the hang of it it's a breeze and they supply you with some really nice allen tools.All in all, I would have gladly paid upward of 2k for this smooth shooter, I am unbelievably pleased with this product and cannot wait to do more steadicam work with it.

Smooth shooter for the price is pretty good, I think the first thing I noticed is that the arm is only single stage so cant boom up and down as much. The vest is good support very well padded so nothing dig into the body. This review not really about the stage because that a separate item to buy.

Bought this for shooting on my feature film, which WON at the film festival! Nearly flawless device. Balancing was a little tricky at first, but got the hang of it and it glides like a charm. Awesome purchase!
