Solid racks!
These racks are legit! Solid build quality, snaps right together, and the unfinished birch is nice enough to live anywhere in your house and not look like a metal jungle Jim in the corner of a room. One item to note: previous reviews of owners complaining about these falling apart when left out in the rain.....these are made from untreated birch. So if you don't know what birch is, those big things that leaves grow on outside are called trees. We chop those down and make all sorts of things out of, birch is a type of tree. If you place a surf rack outside made from untreated birch and it falls apart, you can just chalk that up to the long list of things that are simple in life, yet difficult for you. Just saying.

Nice and easy.
Literally took less than 5 minutes to put together. Looks and works great.

Excellent 6 level freestanding surboard rack.
The 6 level free standing surfboard rack by Steve's Rack Shack was a very positive surprise. It was extremely easy to assemble and did not require any tools. It was very well designed and very sturdy. I really didn't expect it to be as solid and heavily built. The photo in the advertisement does not do it justice. It holds 6 - 9 to 10 foot surfboards without a problem, although you do have to stagger the fins. The rack is unfinished laminated wood and very clean looking. It would serve well inside or outside and could be finished with stain or lacquer if one wished. Friends who have seen it have already ordered racks of their own. I recommend it very highly.

Not Great Product
This is a wood product that is not great. Not strong or stable. I would have returned if I hadn’t already assembled with glue.

Great board rack but indoor only
This board rack is attractive, easy to assemble, and surprisingly holds my behemoth (old school and very heavy) 11' standup, 2 longboards (9'6") and 2 shorter boards. I was pleasantly surprised it didn't even flinch given its slender construction and simple interlocking design with no actual hardware. If you have an indoor space like a garage or basement, it's an absolute yes, but it doesn't look like it would take a beating exposed to harsh outdoor elements very well.

Pretty good rack!
It's an ingenious design that takes about three seconds to put together and fits all my shortboards with their fins on, even MR twins. Sick of leaning all your boards haphazardly in your garage? Get this thing, works really well.Like some reviews mention, it does not appear to be suitable for outdoor use unless you seal the wood yourself, which frankly wouldn't be that hard. I have it in my garage.

Best Freestanding Surf Rack Available
I have owned this Steve’s Rack Shack six level freestanding surf rack for five months and I am very happy with my purchase. I was looking for a rack that I could setup to organize my boards, without drilling into the wall. I researched several freestanding racks and decided this rack was the best option. This rack was easy to assemble -with no tools- and it is much sturdier than I expected. The padding on the rack does a good job of protecting my boards and it easy to get boards on and off the rack. I am also happy to be supporting a local San Diego business. Thanks to Steve for building these awesome surfboard racks.

Works well
This thing is pretty awesome. I was able to get two paddle boards, a longboard, a mid length, and two short boards on it. Because the fins are so big on the paddle boards I had to get creative with how I stacked them, but was able to make it work. It’s easy to put together, just a few pieces and no tools needed. I had a little trouble at first, but emailed Steve and he quickly got back to me to tell me how to do it, I just had one part backwards, so an easy fix. Overall I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend it.
