I’m not sure how long this will last but it definitely clear my severely algae overgrown small koi pond. I took one star away because after a few days of use I noticed the plastic stay holder had a crack in it. I needed the pump to clear my pond as I had already lost my biggest koi it just wasn’t worth returning I may need to use some type on non toxic bond on it in the future once it completely breaks but honestly really a great deal just not very sturdy so be gentle when putting it together and taking it apart.

I’ve had this for 3 years and it has kicked the bucket. It’s a great pump/filter as long as your power never goes off. If you lose power, the filter does not automatically cone back on, it will sit there and eventually burn out if you’re not home to unplug it. We had a storm to cone thru one day while I was at work and I didn’t notice that it wasn’t on until the next afternoon…..too late. Won’t be purchasing this model again.

I have a 650 G water feature/pond and recently added fish. With the warmer weather and the bio load, the water turned green quickly. The waterfall and two skimmers could not handle the algae. I did not want to dig anymore to add an in line UV light filter and read about submersible UV filters. I bought this one dubious it would work. My water was crystal clear within 5 days!!! I wasn’t sure the UV light was working as it was hard to see at night. I had to turn off the little fountain to see the indicator light. I even asked their customer service and they responded quickly. I highly recommend!!

Aside from the attachments being sorta brittle and there not being any sort of plug or attachments to close off the secondary “spout” at the bottom, this works great!! From merky to pretty darn clear over night!!!

Seems like a great filter. My problem is my electricity goes off constantly. Then when it comes back on the pump won't start. I have to remove from pond, take apart and hit the pump with a rock till it starts again. Then try to get it all back together and back in the pond. So far I haven't been electrocuted, that is a plus. I would have given 5 stars but this has been this way since I first started using it. My 580 gallon pond is crystal clear though.

I love this filter! I only have a 250 gallon pond and this filter keeps it so clear. I clean it every other week, and that's a breeze. Very nice! I highly recommend it.

We have a large above ground pond with a turtle that makes keeping clear water near impossible. This year we actually emptied the tank and refilled, 3 days later it was full of algae already. We couldn’t see the fish unless they were right at the top. Got this pump and every day it has gotten more clear, and more clear! It’s not perfect yet but we know it will be :) we can see to the bottom already and the algae is totally gone.
