You have to have a brain !!! To operate.
First id like to say this saw is great , i put it together in under an hour , the instructions are poor but if you take your time its easy . It has all the adjustments to make it operate really well and it performs even better !!! So would i buy it again most definitely. If your not to smart though stay away from it !!!

Much better quality than I was expecting
I received this by FedEx yesterday, shipping weight was listed at 127 lb. I did not have time to put it together yesterday evening, I spent the evening reading through the assembly and use instructions. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the owner's manual was written by someone who actually speaks English, as opposed to most products made in China that are written in Chinese using English words. The instructions appear to be very thorough, very clear. It remains to be seen what the quality of the metal components is, we shall see, but the instruction manual details how to adjust the tension and tracking for the blade, so that reassures me that it is fully adjustable, so I should not have trouble getting the blade to cut meat, and not its own machinery. I will try to add photos and updates as I get it up and running, I have some venison in the deep freeze that needs to be cut up, so I will be able to give it a try tomorrow, as soon as I get it assembled and adjusted.Update as of 1-6-14:After completing the assembly and running some venison through the saw I have the following comments:The positive:1. I really like the heavy metal parts, it is clearly designed to last through many uses.2. It has very good, heavy "crackle" paint on inside and outside surfaces, which really makes it easy to clean.3. Most of the setup and blade adjustments are simple and straightforward, with one exception, see below.4. There have been a lot of engineering updates since the manual was written, most of which are positive, such as the blade tracking adjustment, which is now all done with one screw, rather than four. The negative:1. When I unpacked the parts, I picked up the sliding table out of the styrofoam packing and immediately cut myself on the sharp under edge, which is a raw stainless steel part. As this is an item that will be handled frequently I decided to cover the edges under the sides of the table with a strip of clear packaging tape.2. It was a little irritating to have assembled the stand only to realize that all the bolts needed lock washers. So I had to take all the nuts off and put lock washers on, and put the nuts back on. The instructions don't mention them but they are obviously there for that reason.3. The photo in the manual shows the motor mounted to the under side of the mounting plate, but after I got it together, I realized that the V-belt won't reach that far, so I had to flip it over. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to have the correct photo in the manual.4. This is a minor complaint, but when I went to clean up after cutting up the venison, it was a lot of work to remove all those little Allen screws. It would have been nice to either have knobs, or slots in the metal parts so that the screws didn't have to be removed completely, but just loosened a little bit.5. As this is a cheap item, compared to similar meat saws, I realize that the engineering is not top-grade, but when I adjust the blade guard up and down, it is aligned nicely at the lowest setting, but as I raise it up, it moves farther and farther to one side, until at the highest setting it is about 1/8" off to one side.Overall, considering the price and quality of the materials, I would highly recommend this item, taking into account the minor shortcomings. Just be prepared to spend at least 4 hours on the assembly and setup.Further update as of 1-9-14:I had time yesterday to try out the meat grinder. I boned out a couple of venison shoulders, about 6 lb. total and ran it through the grinder. Results: it works. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast and efficient it is grinding meat. Even though there is no fat on venison, I didn't have any trouble. I did shut it off from time to time to gather more meat chunks and refill the hopper, but that was not a big deal. It was easy to disassemble and clean. Bottom line, I really like it. Definitely worth the money to have this feature. I am looking forward to making some sausages with the sausage stuffer. Also I stopped by the hardware store yesterday and bought 4 (all they had on hand) M6-10 thumb screws to replace the Allen head socket head screws they have on the machine parts that have to be disassembled for cleaning. They fit great, so I am going to try to buy some more to replace the rest. They are pricey, $3.29 each, but it is worth it, not to have to use an Allen wrench to disassemble the machine. It takes 13 altogether.

Well worth the price!
I have used this saw to process 4 deer and I am happy with it. It does the job and I don't see any issues with the saw at all. Assembly was a lot easier than I had anticipated and there have been several engineering updates done to it since the manual was written. So, the manual is a little off with some of the instructions, but nothing that I wasn't able to figure out. Blade adjustment is fairly easy and straight forward. The tracking on it is good and adjustable so you don't have to worry about the saw cutting itself. It is fairly heavy which is good. Cleaning it pretty easy as most of the parts that can be removed are stainless and dishwasher safe. The grinder on the other hand could use some engineering updates, and is why I only gave it 4 stars. Most grinders are pretty simple contraptions and this one isn't much different. Basically if it was made out of a better metal than aluminum it would be 10X better. However, short of that if you buy this and plan on using the grinder do yourself a favor and just buy stainless steel grinder plates and a stainless knife for it. I used the stock parts on the first deer and it was a bit of pain, but I upgraded to stainless steel plates and it works twice a good and I would even say a pleasure to use. Also the grinder is just a touch under powered so you have to be careful not to put too much silver skin through it or it will bind up the auger. You don't have to take it all off but you do have to take as much off as you have patience to cut off, and like I said upgrading the plates and knife helps a lot with that too. Also if this is your first time processing your own deer or domestic animals etc before you grind the meat put it in the freezer along with the grinder including the grinding plates etc.for at least an hour before you grind it. I do not know why but super COLD chunks of meat grind MUCH easier and cleaner than warm or just cool meat. If the meat is super cold you get professional results with this unit! After processing 4 deer I have almost made all my money back in deer processing fees!

Was asked to review product.
The directions could be a bit better for assembly. For example it says to go to page 12 for the parts list and the little booklet ends with page 10. It mentions part 95 has two holes that have no purpose there is two parts numbered 95 and the two holes on one of them have a purpose. After use update, worked great cut up 6 sheep nicely in a short time, will mention after a few runs it is a good idea to tighten the blade tension. Also though it says "stark USA" it is made in china. Alittle misleading.Rate at a 3 cause of the poor assembly instructions, and the misleading of it being a product of the USA, yet being made in china.

Buen producto
Buen producto. Corta perfectamente la carne. Nos falto una parte al llegar el pedido y al contactar al vendedor nos hizo llegar la parte faltante en una semana.Lo recomiendo.El único problema son las instrucciones que no sirven de mucha ayuda.
