Greenworks40V (120 MPH / 450 CFM / 75+ Compatible Tools) Cordless Axial Leaf Blower, Tool Only

I have used this 3-4 times now. It is more powerful than I expected but the battery initially runs down quicker than expected. The longest I have used it for is about 25 minutes, and I have yet to completely drain the battery. I usually start on a medium to medium-high speed and after about ten minutes I see that the battery check indicator only shows two green lights (out of four). Since I'm usually not even half way finished, I panic and then use a low to medium-low speed for another 10-15 minutes, which allows me to finish cleaning the driveway, sidewalk, and street. It does seem to run for quite a while with only one light showing on the battery indicator, so that is good. As mentioned, I have yet to completely drain the battery and once I even ran it on high for 3-4 minutes trying to drain it but was not successful.I will say that even on the low speeds that it does a very good job of moving the fairly sizeable amount of grass clipping I accumulate. It is well balanced so it seems light. If I am not careful, it will suck in my loose shirt when I pass it from one hand to the other in front of me (it pulls in air from the back of the unit), but that is not really an issue.All in all, I am very satisfied with this blower and over time should develop a better idea of how much time I have left and how much power I can utilize before the battery completely drains. I do not use this to move leaves in my yard, so I can't vouch for how it works for that. For cleaning up grass clippings, twigs, and small rocks off of hard surfaces it is just as good if not better than my corded blower and much more convenient. I also have no problem cleaning debris from the seams in the driveway and sidewalk.One thing I have noticed is that I have to let the battery cool off after use for 30-45 minutes before charging. While it is not hot after I have used the blower (just fairly warm), the battery charger will show that it is charged if I stick right on the charger. Freaked me out a bit the first few times as I was thinking I had a faulty battery. Part of that may be the air temperatures here that are in the mid-high 90s when I am using it. Other than that, I have not had any problems and am very pleased with this purchase.

This blower is easy to use and easy to recharge the battery. Does just what I wanted it to do. I do wish it were a little bit smaller, but I'm dealing with it as is just fine. I use it for more things than I thought I would. Thank you.

I received this today. After some confusion about the charger- it indicated a full charge out of the box but the battery lasted only 10 minutes, and when I put it back in the charger it still showed a full charge. A call to customer service and a little patience and I have a fully charged battery. Apparently the fully charged indicator lights changed to charging while I was on the phone to Greenworks. So, I resumed my leaf blowing without a problem.The charger is light weight and can be hung on the wall. it charges pretty fast- less than the 75 minutes the manuals stated. As for the battery, it is interchangeable with a number of Greenworks products that use a 40 volt nominal power source. So, if I want a Greenworks weed whacker, I only have to buy the tool, and then I can use this battery in it. They also offer chain saws, lawn mowers, and other tools using thiss power source.The unit is lightweight, comfortable in hand, and does the job well. It isn't that quiet, though. The manual recommends hearing protection. As for power, you're out of luck if you want to clear a fallen tree off your driveway, but for its intended use it's just fine.I had concerns about buying Greenworks products as I bought an electric chipper/shredder a few years back which failed after less than two seasons- a broken switch- which they couldn't provide a replacement part for. It's still sitting in my garage. It worked OK but I would have expected a nearly $200 (then) machine to hold up better. Someday I'll fix it or get electrocuted trying. At his price, the leaf blower is disposable. and expectations shouldn't be that high.I have noted the problems Canadian customers have had with ordering a battery for this unit, and complaints of unresponsive customer service. I didn't experience problems with customer service but I sure would be torqued if I were sold a tool that I couldn't get a battery for (note, you can buy a tool without a battery,, so a battery if needed for replacement or additional reserve power would be needed). Canadian customers also note that the interchangeability of the batteries isn't there as promised, so buyers beware!

This unit uses the GMAX batteries that are not sold in the Canadian marked. I contacted Greenworks support and thats what they told me. Kind of brutal, because i'm stuck with this thing that does absolutely nothing at all.

The Greenworks 40V battery which is supposed to fit all 40V Greenworks products didn't fit. As a result the product is valueless

This item uses GMAX batteries not MAX. Unfortunately the lister just copies and paste without knowing.

Does not use the 4.0 amp battery as it states in the description.
