Close enough to perfection for an EDC multi-tool.
Review update: This thing is awesome and has been through the crapper yet still looks like new. I did take it off my keys as I need to carry my meds with me in a Lever Gear BitVault in case I’m not at home but it rides so low profile in a pocket or on my belt loop it is just perfect. As a bonus I have been using it as a fidget spinner for anxiety/stress relief so I don’t need to carry an extra thing with me that only has one purpose. Loving the pry bar in this and the doubling of the tip as a flathead, while a little thick still works for the most part. Haven’t used the hex bolts all that much but it did allow me to tighten a spark plug in my buddy’s car so we could get it started. Awesome little tool that just works. Well worth the price I paid. Not really sure why some are having issues with this guy. The only real issue I could see is that it is a little long and the loop for the key ring is slightly deep but...So it’s long. Yes and to some that’s may be a con but to me it makes the key hanger feature work significantly better than all the others I have tried. The BitVault doubling as a key hanger is the exception but that guy weighs more, holds stuff, and is $50.The Viva runs under $10 (got mine for $7) and finally let me put a pry bar in my pocket with some hex wrenches and a flathead withiugh ripping my pants apart. Even if I’m not hanging it from my pocket or jeans there aren’t any sharp edges on the 2 Vivas I own. No risk of cutting my hand like with the Griffin Pocket Tool or poking my leg like with the Gerber Shard and Mullet tools. This is what it is. No apologies and doesn’t try to cram 20 things in one for the sake of it. What is there works great and with the ring allows to get great torque on hex bolts and use of the tip as a pry, flathead, or box opener. The bottle opener is the one bonus to me but again, it works.A little laser etched ruler on the side would be my only real “want” to add as this thing does come in at almost 4 inches. 2 inches on the flat edge marked out would have proven handy but all in all a great little tool at at a great price tags that isn’t heavy to carry daily and is easy to use.Tip: use a slim carabiner through the key ring to attach your keys. Makes it easier to dangle the tool from your pants and you can remove it to use it very simply.

This is quite the handy multi tool. I bought it two days ago and I've already used it about a dozen times, granted most of those times were opening bottles it still works great!I did use the pry tip to unwedge a stubborn D ring in my buddies truck that had rusted due to all the rain we've been getting in Florida. There are a few notes I'd like to make about this multitool as functional as it may be:1.) The placement of the key ring hole is probably in the move inconvenient location they could possibly imagine. I attached a small key ring onto it so and attach it to my keys with an S biner so the keys won't get in the way. This leads me to number 2.2. The hole location doesn't allow keys to hang in pocket but still sit at the bottom of the pocket which is a little inconvenient; I know that's nitpicking but my Pickpocket Alpha allowed my keys to sit in a way that were easy to remove.3. It's a lot larger than most keychain tools which is a double-edged sword. It allows you to perform more tasks than you could with a regular sized keychain multi tool, however it does add bulk to your pocket.Overall it's a great product I just wish it were a smudge smaller and the hole was located closer to where the belt clip is.

Five Stars for the Value
I bought this tool mainly for the pocket clip feature. Compared to similar products that are dedicated pocket clips or feature a pocket clip integrated into a multi tool design (as CRKT does here), this is by far the best value. Most of the other products cost twice as much or more for no logical reason other than their maker/seller can charge the price they want (granted some are made of more expensive materials). The Viva is a beautifully designed tool and feels nice in the hand. It is larger than I expected at about 4 inches, which can be a con at times depending on the depth of my pants' pockets, and it has a decent heft to it, which can be a pro or a con depending on one's tactile pleasure preferences. The other features of the tool are nice to have handy, but I personally don't have a lot of use for them. As such, I would like to see a version of the Viva that is an inch or two shorter just featuring the pocket clip.
