Product may not be worth it.
I'm not sure how the product works yet, but it was a pain to get it to even load. The disc version I received was an older version and I had issues trying to set it up to use it. After weeks of emails with technical support and attempting to download the newer version, they finally got it to at least work. If you are considering getting this, go to their website and download the latest version and pay the extra $10. It will prevent a whole lot of headaches. Hopefully it stabilizes video as well as they claim, but after the headache of trying to get this to even run I really don't have high hopes for it. I was even willing to accept the limitation of what video formats it will allow you to use. I gave it 3 stars since they eventually got it to load.

so so
Not the best stabilizer. I find it to do very little even with very little stabilization to be done. Also, has a profound impact on the quality of the video. Would recommend spending more money on a more aggressive video stabilizer program.

Works well for me
This little program is working well for me. It's a simple plug and chug interface, produces a decent rendering and does remove a good amount of the wobble. I do notice that it is firewalling all of my processors when it's processing. I would suggest doing nothing else on your computer when this is running. It seems to render a video in real time (3 min of video takes about 3 min to render) so speed is OK. My hardware is pretty current. I took one star off due to the fact that you have to log in every time it runs and there is no batch conversion. It's important to shoot video with the jello problem in mind. I'm learning to pan slowly.

DO NOT BUY THIS! ONLY works on H.264 MP4 files!
THE WORST! I bought this based on trust because I have other Muvee products. It ONLY works on H.264 MP4 files! If you have other formats, forget it! I just got off a one-hour grueling chat session with one of the tech support folks (Patrick from Kiev, Ukraine) and got no where. He had me download and install other software, make by other companies, that came with all kinds of "other helpful software", which I refused of course. But even the software I did allow on my system had TONS OF ADS in it and it installed icons on my desktop for other programs to buy! After one hour of getting essentially no where (other than use these other software and RE-ENCODE all my videos to be compatible with Turbo Video Stabilizer), he then suggested that maybe we should do a remote session so he could do whatever on my PC.. Thanks but no thanks...DO NOT BUY THIS!

Turbo Video Stabilizer
The product installs ok and appears to provide some stabilization. However, if your computer display - in my case a notebook computer - has less than 1024 vertical resolution the menu at the bottom of the program window will be cut off. This prevents you from saving your work or uploading to you tube, etc. My Toshiba display is 1366 by 768 and the bottom menu is cut off - changing the display to display rotated 90 degrees will display the menu verifying it is a screen resolution problem. It took Muvee tech support 1.5 weeks to make this determination and inform that a new version would address this issue. The product does not scale its window to match resolution so if you don't have adequate vertical pixels you are out of luck getting any functionality out of this program. Check your resolution first before installing....

Great little stabilizer software
I bought this software direct from Muvee. The stabilization for camera movement and shake is amazing. The smoothcam in Apple's Final Cut Pro 6.0 is no match. But, software only works with H.264 coder wrapped in .mp4 files. However can output stabilized result in both .mov and .mp4 wrappers. I would love to look at their algorithm to see how they do it. But it seems they are doing some kind of global 3-D motion estimation/compensation. There is some small expansion of the frame, but loss in sharpness is quite modest. It runs all automatically and there are no adjustments for scaling, amount of stabilization, etc.One curious result. When stabilizing an edited sequence, the program produced a smooth low speed pan across the cut! This gives us some idea of what is going on here. Now, since it is evidently just global motion compensation, there will be no 'jello' effect that can result from typical local stabilization, but it will probably fail if there are large motions of objects in the frame.
