Great tasting kvass, stay cheeki breeki
Follow instructions, replace "pan" with pot Get a 2 gallon fermentation carboy with an airlock. Or split into 2 1 gallon batches. Remember to burp your grolsch bottles every day to prevent bottle bombs.

Instructions are wrong; don't pour hot water on yeast
Instructions tell you to mix hot water and yeast. Don't do that. You'll kill the yeast. Instead, use room-temperature water for the yeast. This makes good kvas, but it's just bread crumbs, malt, and a packet of yeast. Good for convenience but you can easily replicate this if you can get your hands on bread crumbs, yeast, and some barley or rye malt.

Waste of money
Waste of money. Packet of some kvas flavor (bread crumbs) and packet of some generic, mostly dead yeast. Result is yeasty flavored not kvass flavor.

Old, damaged item, obviously self worn
Item came badly damaged. Box was old, crumpled, contents leaked all over shipping box. Shipping box was fine, so it means item was old when it was packed. This should never been sold in such condition.
