this is so dumb
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. it seems obvious enough that cats like to hunt things concealed by covers. this should be the perfect toy. the concept is there. the execution is not. the buttons to activate the mouse, laser, and sound effects are on ON the mouse. meaning you have to reach your hand inside the cover every time you want to turn it on or turn on the laser or sounds. not to mention, the auto shut off is extremely inconvenient because it turns off in about ten seconds, then you have to reach your hand back into the sleeve to turn the thing on again—and additionally re-press the laser and sound effects buttons. by the time you have done either one of these things, the mouse has already turned off again. it does not stimulate continuous play as the video suggests and requires you to keep pressing the button approximately every five seconds

Horribly noisy defective motor, don't buy this toy!
Thought my young kitty would like this toy, but the motor must be defective because it is horribly loud! I'm trying to return it and now I have to pay shipping! That's not ok! Don't buy this hunk of junk! I'm calling Amazon, not happy at all.

good concept meets loud motor
Our cat was a stray, and because of that he still loves to "hunt" his toys, so we looked specifically for something that was hidden for him to pounce on. I had found a different toy (sam concept) but the tent over it was so small he kept knocking the toy out and then wasn't interested anymore. This has been great for keeping toys hidden as the move so he still has mystery to it. The big down side is the mouse is SUPER loud. I've had to use different toys in this because the motor noise was just way WAY to much. It's annoying because the other toys we've substituted with down move as much, so it's harder to see it. If the motor issue were ever fixed this would be a much better toy to have for a cat who loves that hidden play.

This is a hit or miss product apparently
Ok, first the bad news: it took two of these to get it 'right'. I'm not going to denigrate this product other than to say that I think the problems with it are more in the QC department than in the basic idea/design. The cat liked the way it moves, either within the 'envelope' or just out on the carpet by itself. She was NOT real 'crazy' about the noise (it is rather noisy); perhaps the noise will lessen with use or age. Like most cats, she will get bored with it after a short time. The second one of these that we got after returning the first one, was much better quality and operation, and didn't drain the battery as fast as the first iteration. All in all, not a bad product, but you may have to 'go through' more than one to get a good one.

Not a good buy
This product is a waste of money. The mouse is battery operated and runs down in no time. The mouse broke the second time it was used. It is very loud and my cat had no interest in it. The nylon cover is pretty much tear resistant but the mouse doesn't resemble a mouse, it's a yellow piece of plastic with what looks like a stocking cap on. I give it only one star, as the product broke the second time it was used, the noise it makes, and the cost.

Would not get it again
I had high hopes after reading the reviews, but My cat lost interest in this after about 2 mins. The fake mouse inside makes an awful motorized noise . It gravitates to one side of the circle pillow case thing and then kind of just stays there flopping around.Cat likes the fake mouse Outside the Circles pillow case better than in it..

Love it
My cat loves it and guards it if she thinks someone will take it. She thinks it’s her bed and prefers to sleep on it instead of her cat bed that she won’t touch. When the toy inside is going she rips at it trying to get at it and has not ripped through the material

Good for the cost
The batteries don't last long. The material is good. My cat keeps shutting it off when he plays. The buttons could be in a better area.. overall it's good for the money spent. Be warned it is noisy and if you're cats are timid, they might not play with it. I had to use catnip to allure them to play with it
