These speakers have been a big improvement over the factory speakers in my 2016 Highlander. The sound quality is noticeably better — clearer highs, fuller mids — and the build quality is immediately obvious. They’re much heavier than the OEM speakers, which is usually a good sign of better materials and magnets. Installation was straightforward. The mounting lined up well with my vehicle, and I added a thin layer of foam around the edges before installing. I highly recommend doing the same — it helps reduce any potential rattling and gives you a tighter, cleaner sound. Sure, there are probably higher-end speakers out there, but for the price, these are an excellent choice. I’m very happy with the upgrade and would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting better sound without spending a fortune.

The speakers are 4 by 10 speakers. They sound great and fit perfect for the spot. They are a 160 watts rms but that is a little misleading. We thought that each speaker was 160 watts when in actuality each is 80 watts for a total of 160. They look good and are a decent quality. They function well and for the price are a good value but not a great value.

Well, I didn't realize that the hole pattern of these speakers will not fit the 2014 Toyota Corolla cutout. So I had to find an adaptor kit for these smaller speakers. Found the kit on Amazon. They are not that expensive and appear to be 3D printed. I also had to order the connection adaptor kit. Since the speakers are universal for many other vehicles, the connectors on the car wire harness will not connect to the speakers. The speakers have the universal flat spade connections and they are 2 sizes, so it's important that you order the correct type of adapter cable kit. Now there are two issues that I had with the adaptor plates for the speakers. 1. The speakers didnt nest flush into the cutout of the adaptor plate so I had to trim the inside of the adaptor to open it up more to get the speaker to set flush on the plate. I used a rotary file on my mini router to open it up. It's pretty soft material so it wasn't difficult to do. The mount holes will now line up better to attach the plate to the speakers. Use the small self tap screws that come with the adaptor plates to secure the speakers. 2. When the adapter/speaker is in place on the deck cutout, the wire harness adapter cable will not attach to the car wire harness. So I had to trim out a notch to allow for the adapter harness to reach the car harness connection with pinching the adapter harnesses. Easy to do using the rotary file on my mini router. took a minute for each speaker adapter plate. All in, took me about 1.5 hours to disassemble the rear deck and trim and install the speakers. Then another 20 mins to reassemble the deck and side wall trims. I didn't have to remove the seats since I wasn't installing more speakers and custom sound system. The speakers sound great and I dont have that blown speaker vibration. Toss the old speakers. These are really good.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love NVX gear bc you get a nice quality product for a great price. Silk dome tweeters and decent power handling for a smaller set of coaxials that dropped in the factory locations with zero mods. These were less cost than any other comparable speakers. Using these entry levels for rear fills. Liked them enough i tried the vcw 12” subs and wow they are great! Good sq, accuracy, lows, hit nicely and can take plenty of power. Ended up getting 3 of the v2 subs and have been running them and the 4x6 for over 2 years. Got a set of 6” v series coaxials next to install in the front doors for my other truck. Ive been happy with all my NVX products and highly recommend them!

Great sounding speakers. Bought a set for my son's truck because he liked mine so much.

These speakers are made well, and for the budget they fit in, sound great. With no DSP they are quick to distort, which kind of confused me. I'll soon be replacing these with DS18s to match the rest of the truck.

2 year update: read on for my original review, but suffice it to say I'm still ridiculously happy with these speakers. After hearing these, I bought a couple of NVX amps as well, also a satisfying purchase... Original review... Got these to upgrade the not-so-great factory speakers in the dash of my 2019 RAV4. I have a friend who has a stereo shop, and for the fun of it we put these up against several other brands, a couple of them were like 3 times the money. THESE BLEW THEM ALL AWAY. I mean, it wasn't even a contest! I'm running factory system except for these, and the difference is astounding. If you have a 5th gen RAV4, buy a set and the appropriate speaker adapter to wire it in and live happy! By the way, for the more technically inclined, I tried putting a set of bass blockers on these, and the results were NOT good. Installation of a capacitor (the bass blockers) changes the frequency response a bit, and they DEFINITELY did not sound as good. The factory system in a 2019 RAV4 (and probably other Toyota models) doesn't seem to put out enough low end to blow the dash speakers, as I've had these in for quite a while now and they get a workout.

Overall these speakers go above and beyond, no crackle and clean n crisp

Pretty impressed with these for the money. The bass is tighter and deeper than I expected, and the sound is clear overall. Probably not for you if you are looking to rattle your windows - but these sound good at moderate volume. They are a significant step up from the stock Tacoma speakers (likely the worst speakers any manufacturer has installed in the past fifteen years).

Fit perfect into 1970 challenger dash..sound is decent for only having one speaker in the car. But who really wants to listen to loud music in an old muscle car anyway?
