Another chapter in Nath's continued story of heroics and mistakes. Our Dragon man has so much to learn before he can save the world.

Nath Dragon is on a quest with many of his friends to find an object, the Ocular of Orray, that was stolen from the Elves years ago. This special object was supposed to remove diseases and curses. Nath hoped it might rid him of any curses that might be attacking him as well as an Elf King. His friends, Brenwar, Shum, Bayzog, Sasha and Ben travel trough dangerous countryside fighting all sorts of evil creatures. In the end the cleric of Barnabas, Kryzak, proves he is more powerful then all of them put together. The story runs well, but still the authors childlike dialogue and long drawn out descriptions of landscape, fight scenes and interactions with bad guys takes away from the story. So far........ so good . The dragon is my current hero.The suspense is killing me. And where is the dwarf?

I continue down the same path and while years and years pass between books and sometimes during the book we still don't seem to be getting nearer to how Dragon will turn out. Now we are worrying about our poor chameleon and what will happen to him. We have seen Dragon actually slay other drgons but what will he do when he finds out what has happened now? What will happen to this latest insertion of evil into his body....will his scales remain black? Are all black dragons evil? Will he ever be able to return to Dragon Home or will there even be a Dragon home to return to? I have no idea at this time. Our author has a very complicated mind. You gottal love that.

The writing is substantially improved from the first books. There is more character development for everyone except Nath, who for some reason is just impossible to figure out. Clearly, the author is trying to portray this in terms of maturity: that Nath is now less arrogant and more centered. The story tries to make us feel the frustration and internal conflict Nath is feeling at not being able to kill, but there's too many other things going on. Tons of antagonists come and go without any real development of their own, and it's just not easy to figure out what the point is here.Again, the writing flow is improved - tremendously. But the plot and storytelling seems to be going adrift.

Deeper into the story we read, with our hero and his group getting into and out of scrapes along the way. It's not looking too good right now, but we should have confidence in them.

The story is well developed at this point but will not make any sense without reading the previous 3 books. The series isn't bad. It is not a deep story but is entertaining. I will probably re-read the series again at a later time but not until I finish the rest of the series.

Oh come on its to short and does not have a finish so it makes you get the next one .To short , to predictable, not enough content and to expensive to buy all the books just to get to the end(hopefully).If I had not purchased a few to go on holiday I would not have ever read book 2 or 3 let alone this one its very expensive for just basically one adventure dont get caught there is always a reason that the first one is free, I will not ever puchase more than one book at a time againPS I just hate the thought that I have been duped, so bigger fool me

Great book, great series

not a bad series but doesnt really drag you into the story , always felt there was something lacking , not terrible in anyway buit not really good either

As I said in my other reviews the only problem is that I wish they were a bit longer. I shall however finish them all as they do keep you wanting more.

Super series.. Througherly enjoying this series- great imagination- unusual characters good story- I await the next in this this series!!!
