Bought this as a replacement for the TreadDesk
As probably one of the few people who has spent $2500 on treadmills for treadmill desks, and has used both the TreadDesk tread and the iMovR ThermoTread GT, I will tell you that I love having a treadmill desk and when my treadmill broke, I immediately gained 30lbs in the subsequent 5 months. For me, working while walking has been great.I bought this to replace my broken and basically non-repairable TreadDesk Tread. (I had gone round and round with the TreadDesk company and bought a replacement board that then broke in two weeks. They then wanted me to perform a lengthy series of home tests and I finally got very frustrated and just bailed out. In their defense, TreadDesk was still trying to help, I just ran out of patience.)I looked around online and I felt that all the reviews of this product seemed like infomercials, not real reviews, so I am posting this as a REAL REVIEW by someone who has purchased the product.Delivery was $149 from amazon, but I got 5% off of the entire price using amazon credit card. I could have picked this up in Grand Rapids from the warehouse, but it was a 4 hour round trip and I would have had to have rented a truck. It was worth the delivery price to get it to me. Sometimes the iMovR site has free shipping. It's worth watching. There was no option to purchase a setup because this was up two flights of steps from the delivery level which was disappointing. As it turned out, I was able to get this up two flights of stairs unassisted, using an appliance dolly. I am a fairly large guy (6'2", 240lb), but I'm 50+ years old and not someone who lifts heavy stuff for a living. If I could have found someone and paid them, I would have. As it was, it was a pain in the butt, but not impossible.First Impressions: The iMovR is Heavier, quieter, better quality. it is somewhat thicker/taller which is an issue because I'm fairly tall (6'2" which is 95%ile for height of men in US) and the extra inch has made my TreadDesk desk be barely tall enough. Ideally, it would be an inch taller.)The installation instructions had an interesting suggestion: Put a HEPA filter in the same room to keep dust and grime from building up in the machine. I had one in the house, so I moved it into the room. I will see if it makes a difference. The room has three computers in it, so maybe it will keep those clean too. Conclusion:Overall, assuming it continues to work, I think it is a better machine that the TreadDesk Tread. Is it worth the extra $500? For me, yes. Are the cheaper alternatives than either of these? Probably, but I don't know what they are.If this is still working in 3 years, with no additional investment beyond maintenance, then the cost, not counting interest/time value of money is pretty close to a swanky gym membership ($50/month) and I use it more.I will post a followup in 6 months if I remember to do it. If I don't, ping me and I will let you know.By the way, I was looking for standing desks to see if there were any extra tall ones out there and I didn't find any, but I did find these:[...] The rocket mission evolve slim is a pretty piece of furniture. If I were in the market, I would consider this.

A lot of potential hurt by poor support
The concept is good as it is designed for normal walking and in theory being quiet. In reality it is hurt by misleading support. I should have learned over 15 years ago not to buy bulky items that are shipped as the return process is either costly or impossible. Within 2 weeks off getting my treadmill set up the issues started. Every time the motor starts there is squeaking like a bad bearing. I ask them to swap the treadmill as this is expensive and who wants new product needing major repairs. They refused as it was repairable. They sub out the repairs to Spirit Fitness. What a pain getting a hold of them. I tried holding phone to treadmill they could not hear the squealing. I sent them a video that after some time they said it sounds like the motor. Days later I have issues with the console where the touch screen is not accurate. I sent them a video showing the calibration is not working and they do not have any in stock. Almost 2 weeks and still not acknowledgement they have a console on order. iMovr would not replace the treadmill and to return it you pay shipping plus 20% restocking fee. This is not inexpensive gear. The desk and treadmill are a significant investment. My confidence in the product and the brand is eroded. Next time I will buy a far less expensive set up knowing it is disposable after a few years.---- Update 4/26/21---Still waiting on my bad panel. Company seems to control some of the third party "independent' review sites as I post a less that glowing review that never shows up, but positive reviews show up. Still have a bad control panel and no ETA. They also tell you you need to use their deck/belt lube as it is proprietary. would be nice to disclose that prior to purchase and seems to be a lie as the bottle says 100% silicone. I find it hard to think they are having a special silicone made for them. Over priced gear with all sort of hurdles. Save your money, buy a cheaper unit and just replace it ever few years, far less grief. Seems it is almost time to dispute my credit card.---- Update 5/11/21 ----Looks like the new motor is squeaking like the old one. Maybe it is the roller or they just have bad motors. I have asked the company for a replacement treadmill now I have had a bad motor and a console that is on backorder, no response. I clearly have a lemon and suggest people find a product that the company will stand behind. Always long hold times to get through to their support as it is really Spirit Fitness.----Update 7/16/21-----Noticed now that one of the rollers is now making noise on startup. What a lemon this is. Spirit is totally unresponsive. You have to wait on hold, then get the run around. We will see how long this unit hold up. Do not see this lasting 10+ years like my last treadmill. I am using the product, but for how long before one of these main issues finally fails is anyone's guess. My opinion has not changed, avoid this product. A company they is powerless over their supplier is not worth doing business with. I have accepted this product will never be fully repaired and hope it lasts a few years and will move on.

Well made
Very heavy and not able to use because typing and walking is no good. If anyone wants to buy it let me know, it’s an awesome piece of machinery. Great quality.

Nice treadmill, but promised updates are a false claim
I bought the iMovR treadmill directly from them before the first shipments mostly because of the design, but largely because of the console and the promise of future updates. Although I do like the like the treadmill since I work from home, the "future proof" claim and promise of future updates is simply false. Each year I emailed them asking "when" that will happen, from implementing the screen saver that was said to exist to the promise of their CloudStation. Each reply back contains another excuse that they're falling behind, they're redesigning the prototype, bragging about a patent, blah, blah, blah. After four years, it's pretty clear they have abandoned any updates they have previously claimed they were going to do. To this day their website (www.imovr.com/imovr-thermotread-gt-office-treadmill-desk.html) claims that CloudStation will be available in 2018. Honestly, I couldn't care less about the CloudStation today, but if they could deliver ONE thing only, it would be an update that would permit connection to the console from an iPhone via Bluetooth (or maybe even iWatch 4 and NFC) to update the Apple Health app. But I really don't think that will ever happen. Was I duped by the promise of updates? Maybe. Don't get me wrong though, the treadmill is really good, but the company behind it... not so much.
