Very reflective
3M makes quality products and this is one of them

Very reflective, wide tape. Short roll though.
This stuff is a little bit expensive considering how short the roll is. Still, I managed to tape up my bicycle. Not the entire frame mummy-style, but some of the key places at least. Despite the cost (or perhaps because of it) this is about the most reflective adhesive tape you can buy. I got the white tape, which reflects whatever color light hits it. It reflects very bright and is very easy to see when you hit it with a flashlight or headlights. 3M makes some good tape. BEFORE you stick this on, make sure you clean the surface by wiping any dirt, then using a windex-like product or rubbing alcohol or a mild soap (if you use soap make sure you rinse it VERY well). If there is any dirt or grease or soap on the surface, the tape will not stick. If your surface is clean, it will stick. This tape is great on metal, glass, and plastic. It is ok for painted or sealed wood. It is not so great at sticking to bare wood or any wet or dirty surface.

Highly reflective, strong adhesive - better for use on rigid surfaces that aren't prone to bending (so not ideal on fabric)
This tape is among the most reflective that I've come across when trying out various other items/colors like these. If you shine a light at it, regardless of if it's directly on it or just to the side, you can definitely see it. The fact that it starts out as a lighter silver means it already is more visible than some of the other darker colored, mostly red, tapes out there. I found that the adhesive is strong and sticks fairly well. However, with prolonged usage or various applications where the tape might rub on things or be prone to bending, the tape itself will stick fine, but the reflective part may start peeling off - leaving you left with a white strip with no reflectiveness. I would imagine most people are using this on more rigid structures such as a helmet, and it wouldn't be a big deal. Overall, I do like this tape, but don't think it's well suited for particular applications. Especially if you're planning on using this on fabric, I'd advise you to look elsewhere.

Easy To Stretch Over Curved Parts/Surfaces
I applied this retro-reflective tape to improve the visibility of my motorcycle at night. I have previously used this tape in silver, blue, and black (reflects white) on bicycles and really liked it. As you can see from the photo, the silver tape blends in well with the silver metallic paint on the bike, and reflects nicely when the camera flash is used (the actual color of the reflection is white, but the flash picks it up as a yellow hue). I know some of the other reviews mention that the tape does not stretch well, but this was not my experience at all. I was able to get a perfectly smooth application stretched over a very curved surface. In this case, I started from the front and stretched and smoothed so that the tape adhered flat to the surface of the part. Just be aware that if you stretch or pull the tape up after it is stuck down, it may cause some dark lines or marks in the reflective layer that are visible when you shine light. Just go slow and be careful to leave the tape stuck once it is down.

Best THIN reflective tape ever, but...
I have purchased this in the past, but it is no longer carried locally so I had to shop on Amazon. It is a more expensive tape, but works well on bicycles. I love the reflective quality. It would be nice if it was 2 inches wide and 3 times longer.

Works for what I needed
Got this to add help my bike and myself be more reflective. The tape doesn't feel super sticky, so I was worried it would come off easily but so far it's been great. I've ridden in some rainy conditions and it doesn't appear to be loosening at all. I did take a damp rag and wiped down the areas of my bike and wheels that I applied it to before I stuck it on (let the areas dry for a few minutes as well before applying). I put some small strips on my rims and also wrapped small sections of a couple spokes and even after getting a bit dirty it still seems to reflect quite well. I also made some DIY reflective ankle straps by wrapping this tape around some Velcro that I cut to length. Studies indicate that drivers notice movement better so having reflective tape on areas that move near constantly help me feel a bit better while riding in low light (my morning commute for pretty much 10 months of the year).

not as reflective as expected
Short roll. You don't get much for what you're paying for. I paid extra for 3M. Not as reflective as my US-made alternating red/white trailer reflectors. Cheap Chinese copies are even worse. Reflectiveness was disappointing, so I won't buy more.

Authentic
Seems authentic & reflects ok. Packaging in bubble wrapped but came crumpled. Luckily tape is micro-thin hence still creased but hope its levels after taping. Can report after 2wks crease came off after taping and reflection is superb so up from 3 to stars now.

Please be aware when ordering this that it may be ...
Please be aware when ordering this that it may be coming all the way from the USA and therefore it might take a few weeks to arrive. At £8.99 for 36 inches it ain't cheap either! That works out at 25p per inch! It says apply to clean, smooth surfaces, glass, metal, smooth wood or painted surfaces. It certainly won't stick to fabric or rubber.

Durable even outside of intended use
I bought this to use outside of its intended purpose, and it is holding up quite well! I sewed some strips of it onto a jacket I use when I run outdoors, to increase my visibility, and it's doing the job. The adhesive seems strong enough to apply onto non-fabric, but I haven't tried that yet.
