Dekoni Audio Earpads for Beyerdynamic DT Series - Comfortable Replacement Ear Pads for DT 990 Pro, Enhanced Sound Quality, Durable Design (Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin)

I love these pads, I now have better isolation and the bass and treble have been toned down on the MMX 300 Pro. The downside is that they’re a warm pad, I am willing to over look that since these pads really bring these cans to life.

More comfortable, but the sound is completely different. More bass, different mids, less bright sound. Mixed feelings, really.

The sound change is minimal and the difference is actually an improvement! These feel like they should have came with my Beyerdynamic DT880 250 ohm premium limited edition headphonesI cut out the mesh that comes with the earpads and the sound stage improved better than the stock earpads, then I did the v2 mod by customcan that improves the sub bass and takes down the peak a little and smoothes the frequency a little and now they are perfect!!

The Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin pads seem great, feels like quality! My old ear pads on my Custom one pros were falling apart and greasy. Got tired of washing them, these look easy to clean. I wear mine for work so i use them everyday 8-10hrs a day. They feel nice and comfy and better than the stock pads. Made my 7 year old Beyerdynamic headphones feel like new. Photos show comparison from the stock ear pads to the new ones.

Rubber wears out around the 4 year mark which holds it to the headphones. Other than that it works well and feels great.

The ease of installation of these pads was a complete pain in the neck..the mounting rings are NOT at all like what is in the product pictures, as you can see in my picture. You cannot use the indents in the cans to slide these around to install like any other beyerdynamic pads, you must stretch the pads and tuck the rings into the speakers..for 70 dollars and an “elite” set of pads, this is completely terrible. I have 15 dollar pads from china that did this better.Sounds quality is okay, seems to have taken a hit in the bass dept., but it’s still pretty good.Very comfy so far, and seem to keep cool as well.Do to the terrible build quality of the mounting rings on the back and matching what is pictured in the product listing, I cannot recommend these pads to anyone for 70 dollars..

These earpads look great, installed quickly, will be easy to maintain (a little mink oil every now and then will do it), and should be very durable. They do not color the sound and are more comfortable than the stock velour pads. For me, they are an upgrade that is well worth the additional cost.

beyerdynamicのヘッドホンですが、DT1990/1770にわざわざ二種類のパッドが付属することからも分かるように、イヤーパッドの表面生地やフォームの材質、ドライバ側の通気口によって細かなバランスを調整しています。特にT1やDT1990のような開放型のモデルの場合は通気性の良いパッドの使用が前提のチューニングがされています。本製品の場合、シープスキンでもスエードでもドライバ側の接触面が合皮で完全に塞がれた設計のため、開放型のモデルに使用した場合は音抜けが大幅に悪化します。低音過多、高音が大幅に減衰するとともに、イヤーパッドによる変な反響音が加わってくる事でサウンドバランスが大幅に乱れます。DT1770やT5といった密閉型モデルの場合、純正のパッドもほぼ通気口を備えてないない設計のため、こうしたマイナス面をほとんど考慮することなく純正感覚で使用できます。DT1770に使用していますが、音質は純正とほぼ変わらず。逆にクッション性の高いパッドによって装着感は頗る快適になります。
