Rokono BASS+ G10 Mini Bluetooth Speaker for iPhone, iPad, iPod, MP3 Player, Laptop - Black

Pros:This plays excellent sound, whether through Bluetooth or cord.Portable/compact design makes it nicely durable (no bits to break off if it drops).Attractive.Takes up very little space.Good battery life, recharges easily via microUSB cord.Cons:I haven't been able to make the volume control work. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or it just doesn't work. No change in volume happens no matter how I fiddle with it. (However, I just use the controls via my phone/mp3 player, so I can still use it.)Often I have this on at night playing music in my kid's bedroom while they go to sleep. But since the surface is round and fairly smooth, trying to find the controls to shut if off in the dark after they've gone to sleep is crazy tough. A small thing, but it has been sooo annoying.The LED light on one of the settings is annoying. There's an ON/OFF/LINE switch... I don't know the difference between LINE and ON, since they seem to work the same. Except that one has a steady blue LED light (which is quite bright but not awful), and the other one makes a flashing pink LED that is really obnoxious. Not sure what the point of it is, I wish I could make it stop.

Love the sound of this little speaker very powerful.

I love my bass. It's not the deepest bass but delivers for it's size. Good for traveling on the go. I use at work sometimes.

I enjoyed my first Rokono G10 mini so much that I bought a second one, mainly because the size of the group where I use it might grow. It's also fun to hear things in stereo., and the small size allows it to fit into my computer bag with other accessories. Communication from the seller, which included tips, has been proactive. It took me a couple of tries to figure out how to connect the two speakers, but that's just me. It's not difficult. I cannot comment on the battery life, because I haven't had to recharge the first speaker yet. They are used infrequently, so I'm sure that makes a difference. This model was purchased because I needed to be able to plug in the cable in case the bluetooth didn't work for some reason. (I haven't encountered that problem yet, though.) In my opinion, this little dynamo is worth the investment!

No external volume control when using the aux cable for input. Returned it for the original non wifi version.

What a nifty little speaker. My little one likes to watch videos on my phone and to my horror started putting the phone close to herear to hear the sound better. With worries about links between phones up to the ear and brain tumors, I acted quickly. I saw a lot of little speakers, many which plug directly into the phone, but I knew the little one would just pull those out. So when I found the stand-alone Rokono which I can put on a high shelf out of reach of little fingers, I knew I had a hit. It can also be plugged into a device if needed.Another perk for me when I'm not near my laptop to charge the speaker is you can also charge it with a 5V AC adapter with a usb plug into a wall outlet. Took about 2.5 hours to fully charge for 10 hours+ use.The sound is so clear that the person in the video could have been standing there in the room. If you need a little portable speaker for your Smartphone or other devices, this is the one. Highly recommended.

I have a different one by the same company and really liked it but it was only a line connection. When I saw this one was both line and Bluetooth I jumped on getting one. It’s great since it works with my phone and my portable DVD player that doesn’t have Bluetooth. Great sound and for the price it’s a great purchase too.

I had the non-Bluetooth version (red) of this Rokono speaker (for a robot) and bought the fancier Bluetooth (blue) version as a back-up. Unfortunately, the fancier speaker is a little too smart for its own good. The volume control ONLY works in the Bluetooth mode. (This is stated in the instructions.) When in the non-Bluetooth mode ("Line") it has to rely on volume control from the source device. This might work fine for most applications, but not for the little sound card on my robot. So just be aware of this change in functional operation.Otherwise a nice little speaker.

Very happy with the quality of this speaker. I use it plugged into my 6 year old netbook which had very poor speaker quality and the improvement is dramatic. Not only is the volume so much better but the quality of sound is excellent. I've also used it in wireless mode on my iPhone and the Bluetooth connection is very good. It was well worth paying for the dual connectivity function and the speaker itself is well made, compact and very lightweight - ideal for taking away. Highly recommended. After posting this review I found the 80 cm audio extension cable wasn't working and phoned the seller RokonoDirect. David on the Customer Satisfaction Team was very helpful and friendly and put a replacement in the post the same day. Thank you David.

Had previous version and used it to death as it was a fantastic little speaker. I travelled all over the world with it and used often in hotel rooms, client meetings etc. Old version gets 5 stars. New version 3. Reason for this is that when using line-in connection and not bluetooth, the volume defaults for maximum and can't be adjusted. This causes a noticeable hum that can be heard during quiet passages in music, or silent parts. Shame as apart from this seemingly unnecessary change it's great.

Originally I thought that this little speaker was pretty good...well it does sound loads better than my 'tinny' sounding laptop which is great but conpared to my phone (Samsung Galaxy) it's no better...the sound quality and bass is the same. I'll use it for my laptop for sure but will likely spend alot more and get a different speaker to connect through my phone.

I absolutely LOVE this little speaker, sound is very good for the size of It, perfect beach companion on holidays and you can pair up a few of them if you want even more sound.I'll be getting a second one before next holiday.Definitely worth the money
