Great Design and Function.
I’ve never posted a product review but felt compelled to for the Serif TV because of a. How much we like it and b. How little actual user feedback there is about it online.I had looked at the first generation of the TV and love the design and the designers. When the second generation came out I decided to purchase it (not generally an early adopter). It showed up and was carefully delivered by two delivery people, so it was not mishandled. Setup was pretty instant and it looks and works perfectly. Picture quality is great. The Samsung TV OS seems fine and normal. We don’t have it plugged into anything else, just one cord to the wall and then all of the various streaming services via the built in WiFi.One of the best features for us is that it can be moved around and just plugged in. We did a movie night out in our back yard studio for our kids and their friends and it was easy enough to just take it out there with almost no setup....just plug it in. It seems sturdy on the stand and not fragile. I guess if you dropped the whole thing the frame around it might break or crack (it’s plastic), but it doesn’t seem cheap. It works well with our decor etc.

So glad I got this
It's so beautiful. I was able to toss all my boxes (apple tv, firestick, the entire media console table) as the tv stands alone and looks really great. Unlike the "frame" tv, the art is included and free. You can also have it show the weather and moving screen savers or play your music (the sync to your phone to watch video and play music is super easy). The samsung tv function is a bonus. Easy to just have internet service without cable and still watch lots of good tv channels (not all, but a good sample, including foreign language tv in korean and spanish. they even have a 24hr Bob Ross channel..so soothing). Highly recommend over the FRAME, which you to attach to your wall. skip the hassle, this stands on the floor and looks just as pretty.

barely used it, and now dead as a doornail
I think this is the very first product review I have ever shared, guess I am that disappointed and want to help other shoppers with a warning. This tv is an absolutely stunning design. The Bouroullec brothers, industrial/furniture designers and artists of note, created a gorgeous design here. The bad news: the tv itself is a complete and epic fail. As in, TOTALLY INOPERABLE AND USELESS. I’m glad it looks amazing when turned off. Sadly, "off" is how it remains at the moment. Have had it for a bit over a year, and it's in a second home where it's hardly had any use (think we've literally watched Season 1 and 2 of Ozark on it, a little Succession, and maybe one film, that's it). Now it's completely dead, won't turn on at all, and Samsung says it's out of warranty. No power cord damage, no lightning strikes or power surges, no blown fuses. Just a completely dead tv...that sure looks pretty in a corner with that white casing and those black steel legs.Samsung CX of little help, gave me a number of a repair place to call, and offered zero info on potential repair costs…but then asked me if I want to receive inbound marketing materials from Samsung as we are about get off the call. #Empathy. All that said, a friendly word of caution: these things clearly can just "go" at any time, so if you've fallen in love with the look of this particular tv as we did, you might want to consider the extended warranty. I've NEVER had a television just die on me like this, ever; this was my first, and likely last, Samsung.I spoke with the recommended “local” repair person, Boris. Super nice, came out to the house, and he and I had to place the tv in his suv. He had no way to diagnose the issue on site. $159 to have him take it away, we shall see what the damage is (literally and financially) soon enough, and given the parts shortages, how long a repair will take.Another thing to note: when the tv did work, the picture always seems overly dark (even when adjusting settings), and the volume from the speakers was pretty dismal and muffled, often forcing us to turn on closed captioning. Not so good, but damn, it looks so good in the room when it’s not in use. Maybe I shouldn’t have sent it out to get repaired, and just used it as a thin and elegant plant stand. Buyer, beware.

A quality tech-focused 4k television with unique style!
I'm overall very impressed with the Samsung Serif 4k television and would definitely buy one like it in the future. I'm also very pleased with the buying experience and delivery of my Serif through Amazon. The quality of the picture and the speakers are superb. There are plenty of applications to keep you entertained for hours on end. This unit also supports Apple Airplay and has the Apple TV app preinstalled. The style of the Serif is unique yet clean and minimalist. The case is quite sturdy and comes with four strong metal legs, with cord management, if you choose to have it in your room without a credenza or an entertainment console. I highly recommend this product.

Cool design, not sure about Samsung's TV software
I bought this TV because of this design and I don't regret the purchase! However, when this TV arrived for the very first time, the remote didn't work, and it took us forever to figure out what the issue was with the remote support. At the end they had to send the support to our house to examine the issue and they found out that we got the one with defect remote receiver. Fortunately they came to our house again with the new parts and fixed the TV (and in the meantime I used the app to control the TV, which was.. not the best UI experience that I had), and since then we have been enjoying this TV...some of the downsides are that it took me a while to figure out how to interact with the UI (ex/ took me a while to figure out how to download an app, and how to find those apps). The software also seem to have problems sometime (ex/ Hulu did not work at all for me & network disconnects randomly, which gets resolved when I turn the TV off and on again), but overall it's bearable. Again I bought this TV entirely because of the design and that's why I am happy with it, so if you don't care about the design of this TV then you might not enjoy this as much.
