HONDA IS THE GREATEST
I needed to rplace an engine on my antique log splitter because my gas tank cracked and leaked. I searched and it was to old and obsolete and was not available. The original engine was Honda that was working for 40 years so I wanted another Honda engine. The replacement Honda engine was reasonably priced and was an exact fit so now I'm good to go for a while. Honda builds quality, That is why I have purchased 3 Honda vehicles over the last 25 years and they all gave me good service with no repairs.

Top performers- wood splitter
This motor is the best performers for this size. I thought it was inexpensive and for a wood splitter you can’t beat it. I’ve seen 10 hp diesel engines (no go plug, no block heater). That motor will not start in cold climate winters. We do 50-60 cords- year. Honda is the secret!

Nice little engine
I bought this to replace the crap generic engine on my log splitter. Mounted right up and started easily. More than enough power for a 22 ton splitter.

OEM Replacement... 5 STARS
Replaced with the same engine for a Wacker plate compactor and worked perfectly. I would recommend this supplier and product to everyone looking for an OEM option.

Great price and replacement motor for a log splitter!
Excellent replacement motor for an old log splitter. The GX200 was a reasonable match for replacing a 5 HP Briggs. The HP increase wasn't to much of an increase for the Love joy hydraulic motor coupler.

LEMON ENGINE... WON'T RECOMMEND IT.
So far, I have more problems with this engine than I used to with the GX160 it replaced... Right of the box. Impossible to make work right... EXTREMELY difficult to start. Annoying ups and down RPM's. I never EVER had a Honda engine with so many problems. I have tried to return it, but Amazon tells me I most contact the Seller... WHATEVER!

I have a reliable piece of equipment again.
This engine directly replaced a 1989 5.0 HP Briggs & Stratton type 4036-01, model 132232 that powered a Trench Master trencher. No alteration or adaptation to the frame was required for any bolts to match up--it was easy off and easy on. It has revitalized an otherwise worn out piece of equipment that really isn't worn out.
