it sands
I used to use a large, industrial edgesander where I worked, so when I retired to my own shop I wanted one. But I wasn't sure I needed one. Then this one appeared, marked used, for $300 less than new, so I went for it. It looks like (I'm only guessing) someone ordered it, the package got damaged in shipping, so it was returned. Inside everything worked fine. The dust hood was a bit bent. I straightened it out and tried it, but as you can read in other reviews, they are no good. So I threw it out and made a new hood which works great. I also made a stop from angle iron to keep the head from gradually tilting itself. The belt that came with it was difficult to track, but I got some new belt from Sungold which track fine. I've used the sander much more than I thought I would. I love it.

Solid machine
Do a fair amount of door/panel work, decided it was time, truing up panels by hand is a drag and results often less than desired, will use for this and much more. Solid unit for the price. I checked out many (Oliver, Grizzly, Jet, Baileigh. Laguna. etc) and believe I made the right choice. Definitely wanted oscillation to minimize end grain burning/maximize belt life. Not too large for my small shop. Put together a mobile base to enable keeping it against a wall, can easily roll out to angle/flatten belt. Plenty of power, comes with quality 100 grit belt. Nice size cast iron table, can sand ~30". As advertised came wired 220, though I changed plug to twistlock. Even after stripping removable parts takes 2 to move/set unit on base, mainly cause of the weight of the motor, other end light. Comes with sturdy fence. The miter gauge is pretty cheap/light but serviceable. Standard miter track width so can easily upgrade.Few issues, would have liked an adjustable stops at least at 0 and 90 deg and was missing the five 1/2" 12-24 screws to attach dust housing. Locking lever for belt angle could be easier to operate. Have to remove side table to close dust shroud, could have been designed to leave installed. Assembly instructions lacking, but not rocket science.Great machine for the price, will update on dust collection once parts arriveUpdate:connected to 2hp dust collection system, works great. Would have preferred linear oscillation, this unit tilts for oscillation, not ideal for panels. though technique can overcome

Very nice sander!
Easy to assemble, everything fit like it was supposed to. This is the same machine that Jet sells just painted a different color(which I like better) Mine came wired for 220 but it was easy to change it to 120v. I put a new cord on it with a molded plug that was longer than the one that came with it. As far as the motor wiring it has a little diagram on the housing showing you how to do it ( took 5 miniutes) the cast iron table was dead flat and nicely machined. Dust collection works great and there’s storage for belts and other things in the cabinet. Comes with a 120 grit Kingsplor belt and runs surprisingly quiet. No problems or issues at all.

The F'n best price
I discovered all edge sanders in this price range are pretty much the same, the different brands just have a few different things from each other they do well and not so well. I bought this on sale, thats the only reason I bought this and not jet or grizzly etc...

Great upgrade
This product is well built and performs very well. Instructions were a little vague. Manual says th unit is pre-wired for 110v. I found that mine was wired for 220v. Glad I took time to verify before plugging in. Spent Thanksgiving weekend making rocking horses for my grandkids. It was a real pleasure having this beast for contouring and sanding. I'm used to much smaller sanders and couldn't believe how much time was saved with so little effort. Glad I made the purchase and will recommend to others.

Some of the parts didn't fit.
Some of the parts didn't fit. I think that they have changed motors and the dust collector didn't fit but I altered it to go onWish they made on that didn't oscillate the belt
