This product has a great ginger flavor and scent, without added sugar, which I appreciate. However, it is definitely NOT chopped ginger. It is mashed like a sauce. Think apple sauce consistency, except ginger.

The items were shipped along with leaking and spoiled garlic. Hence product was not safe or usable and disposed of.

I have depended on this for years! My local grocery store stopped carrying it! I was so pleased to find it online. Christopher Ranch is my preferred brand so I ordered 2 jars so I would not be without it. Fresh in taste, convenient and often indispensible! I really cannot remember the last time I used powdered ginger!! The "fresh" grated ginger works very well in any recipe requiring ginger, but adds a more flavorful dimension.

Have been buying Christopher Ranch products for a very long time. I find their Ginger really handy for using in many Asian style dishes and assorted marinades. It has always been very fresh tasting and even tho’ it is a large jar, the ginger stays vibrant for a very long time. I have never had it get moldy or sour. I always keep it in the coldest part of my fridge. Highly recommend.
