Kitchen Kare Acrylic Cutting Board, 11" x 15"

My old glass cutting board was hard on my knives, and it was 20 years old. So I searched Amazon and found this one, which was reasonably priced and bigger than my old one.I'm happy with it for the most part. It's 1/4" thick acrylic and has 9 feet on the bottom for stability. It fits perfectly on my counter top next to the sink. It's a frosted clear, so my counter top can show through. I'm looking forward to the next time I have a big canning project because I won't have to cut things up in stages - there's plenty of room on this one! It will be good for rolling out dough, kneading bread, and setting hot pots, too. I was pleased to see that it's made in the USA, because I buy American whenever I can.My only complaint is that the board is bowed upward in the middle, so the middle foot doesn't touch the counter top. I'm assuming it will relax after a while, but I've put a little pressure on it to help it out. It's thick enough that it doesn't flex when I use it, but I do wish it would lie perfectly flat.Edited August 1, 2012: I ended up sending this cutting board back to Amazon, because the bowing caused liquids to run down from the middle and pool underneath. I just cut up a ton of tomatoes for canning, and it was a mess using this cutting board. But Amazon has great customer service! They paid return shipping and are sending me a replacement. I'll leave the 4 stars on my original review until I get the replacement board and see if it is flat.Edited August 2, 2012: I got the replacement board from Amazon in one day! It lays flat on my countertop and I'm changing this review to 5 stars because it's a really nice cutting board. Thanks Amazon, for the quick replacement!

I searched high and low for a usable cover to place over our new induction stove which is right in the middle of the island where we prep our food typically. I ordered two of these (a little pricey!) but they fit perfectly. If I'm only using one burner on the stove then I can just slip one side off because the induction does not make the rest of the stove top hot. I was not sure if I wanted glass or acrylic, but I like the acrylic as it is not too heavy to move back and forth over the stove. I can just slide it off to the side and use it as a cutting board as needed. The textured surface does seem to be resistant to showing knife markings. My only disappointment thus far is that one of the boards came with only 6 bumper guards and the other has 9. I'm wondering if the others could be mailed to me? Can I order matching ones since it is in a prominent place in my kitchen all the time?

Great counter saver -love it ! - very sturdy and totally non slip looks great on my counter !- first one came with a corner chipped off -very poorly packaged -just flopping around in a big box nothing to secure it at all - however I liked it a lot so I called Amazon and told them what was wrong and they want me to return it with a QR code to UPS - I just got the second one and it came in perfect condition. Thurs. the chipped one will be dropped off to UPS -Thank you Amazon - you always take great care of any problem I have

hi I live in Australia. I first purchased one of these cutting boards from my local supermarket in 1998 and going back to that time it only cost $10.00 and I have to say these cutting boards are THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. I have been through different types over the years but still come back to this cutting board.....over the years I searched and searched for another one but too no avail, but I couldn't throw away my old favourite. it never stains, it doesn't blunt my knives, and it's easy to clean. Years went by and my searching through-out Australia was hopeless. I contacted everyone. all I could remember was the brand name. so I started looking for any international sellers and after years of searching I finally found them on AMAZON, so without hesitation I purchased this one. I was so excited when my cutting board arrived. I thought it was Christmas..... I mean how can someone get this excited about a 'CUTTING BOARD'.....well I did!!!!!!! now, i'm purchasing another. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CUTTING BOARD TO ANYONE. ONCE YOU HAVE OWNED ONE, YOU WILL NEVER BUY ANY OTHER. A BIG THANK YOU TO AMAZON.

I had a similar board that was half as thick and it bent in the middle so that it didn't sit flat. This board doesn't do that.. it is nice and rigid and lightweight. I wash it by hand.. how hard is it to wash a lightweight flat board and stick it in the drying rack ?? It is expensive but I have a much smaller one the same material that I use so I figure anything that makes my life easier is worth it. I would prefer a board with a well around the edges which catches juice from meat but that is not to be.. I have wooden boards, glass boards and other vinyl boards and the well is not deep enough so the juices overflow onto the counter. The feet on this board keep it in place while I am cutting on it.. what else would you want from a cutting board? The instructions say not to use it without a pad under it so you won't melt the board. I have a small silicone mat that I put on top of the board if the pot is really hot and I HAVE, on occassion forgot and put a hot pot on it with no problem but if you are paying this much for a board because you want to be able to see the counter underneath in a small kitchen you really have to take care of your stuff..

Look and function absolutely beautifully. Not flimsy at all. I was a little skeptical, but they came packaged beautifully and look amazing. My only ones had been purchased from Bed Bath & Beyond, I don't even remember the brand, and I had been looking for years for replacements, as they were no longer available, and my old ones were cracked. I found these on Amazon and couldn't be happier! The square edges are so much nicer, they are larger that my old ones, and give my kitchen counters an elegance they didn't have before! We have natural stone counters that stain easily, and these are lifesavers. I LOVE these and will definitely buy more!

Easy to use, store, and clean. Seems to be very durable. Inexpensive compared to most of the fancier alternatives. I wonder what the carbon footprint would be on the procurement of the extra money needed to purchase a bamboo cutting board?

I already own a large one but wanted a medium size too. These are the perfect cutting boards. They do not chip, discolor, break, easily washable under faucet and will not damage knives.

Product arrived with only 3 rubber feet and it isn’t 15 inches long as the title says it’s only 14 3/4

Very happy with the acrylic chopping board, a style I have used for many years.This one appears to be a lot thinner than previous boards, but is still substantial and strong.
