MinnetonkaWomen's Classic Driving Moccasin

I had been looking for some casual, comfy, runaround shoes for a while. I'd been looking at driving moccasins for a bit but was put off by the prices of Cole Haan, Coach, etc. These run under 50.00 and are really comfortable. I had about one hour's time to break them in walking around my condo and that was all it took to stretch them to fit my feet. They felt a little tight at first, but now they seem made for my foot! I had a bit of trouble getting the sizing just right. In Cole Haan, I am a definite 7.5. I ordered the 7.0 in this shoe the first time, but had to send them back because I was walking out of them. They were so big that I had to return them and tried the 6.0. Those were way too tight! Those went back. So like Goldylocks the last pair in 6.5 were just right. Save yourself the hassle that I had and order a size smaller than normal size. I don't know why they don't have sizing like other shoe makers. The little nubs on the bottom of the shoe keep the shoe comfortable walking on hard surfaces. I only wish these came in black as well, because I'd get them in that color too, alas......

I am a seasoned driving moc wearer. These are classics. Sizing is incorrect. My sister and I had to size down by 1/2 a size. She originally ordered the 7 and said they were falling off her feet. The leather is very stiff-takes a while to soften up. I used talc powder to ease the comfort of breaking in. I wear them at least 3 x per week. They are perfect with jeans, I can wear with straight leg and skinny. I do think they will hold up well. The color is very dark brown. LOVE them.Revision. I have had these mocks a couple months now. The small rubber thinggys on the bottom are now pushed in from wear. These are not shoes that are to be worn if you have a lot of mileage to cover. They will wear out real fast. I wore them 2 weeks straight and did a lot of walking and loved them but found them worn down and the leather is really getting roughed up. Bummer now I choose another pair of shoes when I know I will have a busy day on my feet. I want them to last.

I have narrow feet, and this is so far my favorite driver. It is comfortable and looks so good.

The shoes look nice, however they are way to big. I ordered a 5 and although some 5's are still big on me, using some grippers in the back i can get by. I have 2 plus thumb widths between my toe and the end of the shoe. There is nothing I can do to make these wearable. They were so big I looked at the size stamped in them 3 times. Really disappointed as I really wanted some shoes like this.

I like these shoes...they look very much like the photos and are nice, thick leather. However, they are a bit stiff at first...I rubbed them with leather conditioner and am working on breaking them in. There is a nicely cushioned footpad...eventually they will be very comfortable, I think. No arch support, however.Re: sizing: I would say that they run about 1/2 size large. I normally wear a size 9 and a size 8 1/2 fits me well.P.S. now that I have had these a few weeks, I would change my recommendation about size. The shoes are still stiff and have not stretched or softened up, so they feel too tight. If I had it to do over again, I would have ordered my usual size....size 9. The 8 1/2 is just not (yet) comfortable.

Somewhat large isn't really quite accurate. My spouse for whom I bought them think that the design makes her feet look long. She often wears shoes that end the solid portion of the construction just behind the toes on the top of the foot. These continue in a single piece back to what would be a tongue in laced footwear. They are stiff due to the thickness of the leather but are certain to soften with wear. They appear to be well-made and should work well as a slipper worn around the house. The sole construction will allow better wear when worn occasionally walking on concrete walkways and drive ways.

I know the Minitonka brand always a good fit for me and great for gift giving.

Beautiful shoes - high quality leather, excellent workmanship. These are the new go-tos with jeans.

After breaking them in (it took a few days because it's really good thick leather) they are so comfortable!!! I don't recommend them for long walks as they are just a driving shoe but they are great to keep around the office.
