This is amazing. I have a 2009 MK5 GTI, It fit perfectly, was very easy to apply, and looks super nice. I applied it on a 90 degree day, so didn't need to warm it up, but definitely try to peel only part of the backing at a time. It does not go fully around the n/d/s letters, but you honestly can't tell until you put your face down close. Well worth its cost (I thought it was a good price), and amazing to get such a precise cut on a mass made piece. My gear cover had been flaking off, and covering the spots with sharpie just wasn't good enough anymore, im very happy with this!

This is the perfect, cost effective fix. For my MK6 GTI.It looks great, easy to install and so much less expensive than the dealership . I highly recommend.

I bought the entire carbon fiber dash kit for my VW GTI MKV...so far the gear cover was the only thing that has arrived. I've worked with these types of applications in the past so I know that it is important to heat them up slightly to allow the product to stretch a tad...I did and pealed the back plastic off slightly to expose a little of the adhesive at a time and the proceeded to apply slowly...NO PROBLEMS WITH FIT AND ADHESION!!! would buy again! Knowledge is power!

I love my GTI but Volkswagen messed up when they used white plastic underneath rubberized paint. (picture showing white is after cleaning only with alcohol wipes to prep for installation - all the black coating came off way too easily)So I decided to purchase this to cover it up.I followed the directions exactly on a 77 degree day, and after a few days, it is still holding strong. Considering I live in Michigan with crazy temperature swings, I'm not sure how well the adhesive will hold up long term, but so far so good.While it looks much better than the scratched up scuffed up mess that was there previously, it is not what I expected for carbon fiber. It reminds me of those kids puffy stickers. The pattern may or may not be carbon fiber imbedded inside, is hard to tell without cutting it open. Did not expect it to be embedded under a plastic coating. It does have gaps around the D indicator and around the perimeter, but I used black permanent marker on the white plastic so it is only visible on close inspection. I can live with these considerations but I will probably eventually replace it with what I actually expected to receive. I bought this during a lightning deal, and I feel that if I had paid full price, I would have reconsidered buying it.If you like shiny bubble stickers, it's a good purchase. If you're going for a real carbon fiber look, keep looking.
