Packaging made fabric smell but thankfully temporary.
I have a large uk superking bed with extra deep mattress and integral topper so high as well as long. This was the only matelasse style white bedspread that came close to reaching down to the floor. Only downside was plastic zip case it came in smelled awful and had permeated fabric requiring a swift freshen up when taken out.
