I bought this with the intention of starting a You Tube Channel. I wanted to have a cost effective solution for doing video content and also taking pictures of the kids etc. The stand comes in a few pieces and is easy to assemble. Once you have done that you place your mobile phone (in my case an iPhone 8s+) in the clamp and start to video.The Tripod is powered via a USB connection (so you will need a HUB or plug for it) and there are controls on the wire. There are buttons for "power on", lighting tones (of which there are 3) and two further buttons to adjust the brightness. The light tones are bright, warm and soft. I guess you can adjust according to your skin tone. The brightness levels are also a really nice feature and you can really pump up the brightness. I have taken some pictures of the unit in two of the three colour modes but its hard to see in the pictures. The product also comes with a Bluetooth remote so that you can set the phone off by remote for a more professional finish. I am really enjoying this product and although I am not a professional I would say that this really helps me to make some great videos for work and also some fun with the kids.I would totally recommend this product to anyone who wants to create video content for personal or professional use.

This is a great bit of kit for the price.My complaints are that the phone holder is tough to open enough to clasp the phone, and then completely obstructs the view of the screen for positioning/levelling, focusing etc. It also makes me worried it is damaging the phone due to the amount of pressure being put on, and as my phone has that bs squeezy side function and side buttons it's a little bit of hassle getting it set in the correct place.The bendy stick that holds the phone also seems a little long, assuming the idea is to have the phone positioned centrally, this is pretty tough with it.I do not think this matters though as the quality of the light is good and what I have recorded using this has come out very well.Overall very happy and would recommend if looking to buy something similar on a budget under £30-40. Even just using it as a light (not attaching the phone) is very beneficial.

Hard to argue with the value/price on this one.A solid light with decent steps of strength. The max light isn't going to be enough for a dark room, or as your only main light. But for a keylight in a lit room and at the different temperatures its perfect.The bluetooth remote trigger for a phone was a really nice added bonus that frankly I am making use of not close to the light setup. Its a little too bulk/ugly to add to the keychain but otherwise its great functionality and now in my daily bag, just in case.The worst part of this setup is the cheap metal tripod that comes with it, but as it is a standard mount, I just swapped it to my regular lighting spot. The tripod has no adjustments and is at a pretty low height for most desks and eye/face lineup.Similarly the phone grip that screws in doesn't quite have teh flexibility to fully line it up perpendicularly.If you are just looking for an affordable ring light with the key standard colour temperatures and variable lightintg strengths, you can't go wrong here. The added 'mobile phone ' stuff is probably best done in front of it with a separate solution though.

The light is great and the tuning is simple. I typically use it for video calls as somehow the cameras are not calibrated well for non-white people, so the extra bit of light helps in videos. I also use this for spot photography of objects. The three light temperature modes are considerably different so very useful for photography. I've also used the accessories, including the phone holder and it works fine. The only gripe is that the tripod legs are not very stable. Once stabilised, they don't fall off but over time feels like they sink down. I wish the legs were a bit stronger to stand up taller. However, for my purposes, once put in place, they work fine.

I was very pleased with this purchase worth the price and not too difficult to set up. Doesn't always give the best lighting when facing a product or facing me doing a selfie video but all can be adjusted. Lucky for me I already have a stand to go with the light because of my professional lighting equipment as a filmmaker. Having to keep it in by the USB cable into a computer is annoying but I understand because that is its electrical source, as it doesn't run on batteries. I also liked that it was well packaged and arrived within due time.

For the price this is a fantastic product. I had been eyeing up a ring light for a while before opting for this item as the reviews and the amazon choice persuaded me that this would be the one for my needs. The item is very well built and I found that it was very easy to adapt the tripod mount to the boom arm that I have. The varying light brightness option is fantastic as is the different colour tone of white light. I tested it above my workstation and the light is perfect for crafting as well. All in all this is a very good product and you would be making the right choice in buying this over others twice the price or more

I already have a large size ring light and wanted a smaller one for video calling or filming low to the ground.It has adjustable brightness and colour from a built in switch which was a nice little touch.This is a really versatile little piece of kit. below is a list of things that i think others would find useful:Run the ring light from portable charger, so it can be taken out and about with you for filming.You can remove the tripod stand and use a bigger one if you need to film at height.You can remove the phone holder from the ring light and attach a webcam for better lighting when on video calls.
