I wanted to make a pug dog wall hanging. To make her more authentic I referred to a lot of online photos of the pugs.

Loved this book. Make sure to use very good small appliqué scissors to cut out pieces.

Delightful! Only which there were a English Springer Spaniel and a Border Collie included. The dogs are realistic looking, which I love. Might have gone into some detail about how to choose color value. But I have that information from another source. Patterns are full size and very clear. I would recommend.

Detailed information in the book and cute pictures

I'm doing a dog portrait in a two-day class. The teacher is good (she worked on each of our photos at home!) but she has been a little skimpy in exactly the same areas that are not covered in this book. That's why I bought the book in the first place! Disappointed. The book needs to be expanded in every area but the eyes and hand appliqué, which are done so very well. She does a good job with needle turn appliqué too but that is covered in many appliqué books that most people who quilt already have. However, I'd keep it in the expanded book that I wish she would do!

WONDERFUL BOOK Carol Armstrong is an amazing artist. She has turned the applique dog blocks into delightful works of art. She puts realism and personality into pieces of material and hand quilts them into quilt blocks She has easy to follow directions and lots of pictures , along with great patterns. Wonderful book.

Love the book, When I get some spare time I will really get into making some more Quilts.The patterns don't look to hard for anyone to do.My susgestion is to buy the book if your a doggy fan, and have a go.

This book is very detailed. Lots of dogs to quilt. I haven't done one, yet, but I am sure it will turn out beautifully. A good way to use up all your scraps of fabric,

Ein wirklich wundervolles Buch, mit ganz herrlichen Hundemotiven. Gut erklärt, auch durch Abbildungen, auch wenn man des Englischen nicht so mächtig ist ... die Bilder sprechen für sich. Ich bin ganz begeistert!!!!

Sehr gute Auswahl der verschiedenen Rassen. Gute Beschreibung, auch verständlich, wenn das Englisch nicht ganz so gut ist. Ich habe einen Hund auch mit Zick-Zack appliziert und auch das sieht sehr gut aus. Sehr schönes Buch.
