Perfectly replaced 38 year old batteries!
Fit was perfect and a great value compared to battery stores nearby. So far the quality is great. The batteries in the video are the old ones that I needed to replace. The new ones worked amazing and fit just in place. The tabs worked like the originals and I was able to tape down the tabs I didn’t use so they weren’t in the way. So far so good!

Worked well.
Brought these to repair craftman drill battery pack; still working well.

Good batteries. Good deal
Good batteries. Good deal. I used them to restore function to a Dustbuster which not only has been restored to full power but now has 3 times the run time. The charging circuit is made for Nicads with a lower amp hour setting so it will take longer to charge but it will still give the same run time per charge hour. It will just continue to add run time after that untill it is full (three times as much).PROS:Decent quality batteries.Right size to replace many factory batteries.Pre-soldered lugs mean no soldering directly to batteries in most cases and thus no heat damage to battery. They can be charged by the original charger with some restrictions.More run time than NicadsCONS:When using original chargers made for Nicads you need to be careful not to leave it on the charge sor long periods of time, weeks is not good in some models. The pre soldered tabs both point in the same direction which does not suit all setups. Mine needed 90 degree tabs. It was easy to cut the bottom tab and solder to the stub.

Pain to put together .
Real pain in the ass to put together. Course my soldering skills are also limited. I think having a jig to hold all the batteries together securely would also help. I didn’t have that either. How after all my issues I got the battery put together, bad soldering joints and all. And be dammed it takes a charge and runs my weed whacker just great. Now we’ll see how long it lasts.

Battery pack replacement
I had a HF original tool battery power pack. Couldn't get a replacement no where, so I opened it up and searched for the batteries, and found these batteries. I spot welded them as the old worn out pack and so far these batteries are outstanding. I used 50% of the battery power. I plug in the pack on it charger and I was surprised that the pack was recharge in 11 minutes. So I'm satisfied for this purchase.

AFFORDABLE ALTERNATIVE TO NEW TOOLS
I have a complete set of nice battery powered tools that require battery packs that are no longer available. I debated spending hundreds of dollars to upgrade to Lithium-Ion tools, but changed my mind after reading that light weight and power output are poor trade-offs for half the charge cycle life, complex electronics (that can fail), and expense. Perhaps it would be different if I was in a trade using my tools all day, every day.The Tenergy Sub C's not only allowed me to rebuild a complete 18 volt battery pack, the 2200mAh rating was almost twice the power capacity of the original 1200mAh cells. The power connectors are long enough to allow 'Fold Over' or 'Quarter Fold' in any direction required. I mated the connectors, then used long-nosed pliers to secure both straps, rolling them together before crimping them flat. I then soldered the mated connectors - the material accepts a great solder bond. As a bonus, after careful testing of the old battery cells, I was able to save ten good units, enough to change out bad cells in two additional old battery packs. I certainly will purchase another set in a year or so and repeat the process.NOTE: Connecting fifteen cells is a meticulous process and all connections should be soldered and protected. In addition, some battery packs have a thermo-sensitive device that must be retained and wired in the original location. Improperly wired or connected cells can cause overheating and possible fire hazard - so be careful and never mix cells of different voltage or capacity. Also worth mentioning, there are some nice NiCad powered tools (NOT Lithium-Ion) that have terrible chargers that can 'cook' your batteries if left connected. I used a simple light timer in the past; however, I now wire the original connector of simple two-wire systems to a compatible charger that automatically shuts off, (e.g. the Black & Decker BDFC240,) drastically extending power pack life and well worth the $30 investment. Auto shut-off chargers will normally provide a LED indicator reporting if the battery pack is defective, charging, or the cycle is successfully completed.

Good batteries, use care soldering.
These batteries work well as substitutes for SUB-C size batteries used in portable tools. The tabs simplify solder connections. Just put noncorrosive solder flux (a Kester2331-ZX Flux-Pen, for example) on the tabs before you attempt to solder them. Use a small soldering iron and make the connections quickly. Unless you're soldering connections right away, leave the insulation on other tabs. A short circuit will quickly heat one of these batteries and damage it or possibly cause a fire. I wish the positive terminals had more insulation around them. I cut out some cardboard circles with the same diameter of the batteries and made a slit with an X-Acto knife for the metal tab. It's just too easy for the plastic insulation to cause a short circuit between the + tab and the battery's metal case. Always wear safety glasses.

Properly marked 2.2 amp Nicads hard to beat
I only use these batteries as they perform much better than the stock batteries used by manufacturers . This use was for a 3 year old weed wacker that even when new would only run for 20 to 30 minutes in addition it had a 1.7 amp pack. Using these 2.2 amp batteries I get at least 2 days if not 3 days of use from a single charge. Of course as the charge cycles increase the pack works much better. One must not forget that these are nicads and should be totally discharged before the recharge or they will develop a memory. I am not a fan of Li ion batteries as they can easily become a fire hazard. This is a top quality battery for any power tool. Oh several years ago I replaced the packs for my drill. A requirement since my drill is ancient and no longer has any replacement parts available. The best thing you can do to keep the tools you love to hate heh. My last review pinged these guys because the negative pole had a big red stripe around it, that is not the case now
