This product was very easy to use. We started converting old videos within 10 minutes of taking the product out of the box. The directions were easy to follow and use of the unit is very intuitive. We've already converted 17 videos of our 54 8mm tape inventory. Highly recommend this product -- great value.

Really easy to set up but after attempting recordings from a VHS VCR and an 8 MM CamCorder, the Audio gets out of sync on all recordings. I even tried different RCA A/V cables (brand new and older cables), with no luck in keeping the audio and video in sync. Side note: The USB connection is really slow, so copying from the device to laptop is cumbersome.I think this would be a great idea if executed properly, but I will be returning this device as it isn't working as expected.

to move your 8mm Tapes to Digital. The RCA cable that came with the unit did not work with the Sony Camera, I had to get a different one with a right turn 8mm Jack I think..very happy with it.

Exactly as advertised. Good directions . Easy to connect and capture video. My only suggestion is that the info on the description should include the file format of the video output.

I have some old family videos that i wanted to have saved digitally (like a lot of people) and i went searching for a device that would help me do that. Stumbled across this one. I liked that i wasnt required to be connected to a tv and i could view the video on the device during playback. My issue comes in once everything is saved to disk. The video and the audio go out of sync as the videos go on when you playback on the computer. The software that came with it doesnt seem to help resolve that issue. I wish this wasnt the case because outside of that, this is a pretty useful device.

I use this to record sewer video inspections. I was not sure what to expect but have to say all expectations were exceeded. It works flawlessly and the internal battery makes it so that it doesn't even have to be plugged in while recording. Picture quality is what would be expected for such a service and the transfer of files is incredibly easy.Bought a small camera case for it and it rolls with the video inspection equipment.

This video grabber will record video, however my audio is completely out of sync. No matter what I did, the audio will not sync with the video. I tried the cheap cable that came with it, and my much better grade cable as well. I can edit the recording in another app to get it to somewhat sync up in the beginning but as the video progressed it would fall out of sync again. Instructions offer limited assistance with operation, and no troubleshooting help. I reached out to customer service via email pleading for assistance but didn’t even get an acknowledgement and of course, no help. I wasted an entire Saturday trying to get this item to work only to end the day frustrated and no closer to getting my VHS tapes digitized. Returning this unit, and will look elsewhere for one that works and hopefully better customer service. One star since video does record, plus I can’t give zero stars.

Super easy to use, but don't expect there audio to be in sync with the video. The longer the video the more off the audio will be at the end. In an hour long video, the audio is a good 3 seconds behind the video. It's very weird to watch.
