What type of polymetric sand works good with this product?

Dear Friend, Our Paver sealer works well with any type of polymeric sand. We would just recommend to folow all of the manufactures instructions of the polymeric sand. Make sure all excess poly sand is completely removed before activating the sand. Allow the sand to cure for at least 24 hrs. after activating the sand to make sure the pavers and sand are bone dry when applying the sealer. Inspect the pavers once more before applying the sealer, so that you don't seal over any poly sand haze before it is removed. The sealer will add additional joint sand stabilization with which ever joint sand you choose. Thank you, Glaze N Seal Technical Support

Is this the same as the low gloss product?

Not sure of the "low gloss" product, but it would be more semi-gloss.

How well does this work to keep weeds from growing?

I would say sort of. I have weed block fabric under my pavers, and a drain that runs reason water over the pavers. This has washed out some of the sealed sand. Where the sand had washed out, some grass has tried to grow, but not where the sand is still solid.
