As an essential tool of the trade, a good knife makes life easy.Well balanced, enough 'heft', but not too heavy, and sharp enough to cut precise without effort.This knife checks all of these.But what makes this knife somewhat different is its sharpness.It is literally razor sharp. Almost dangerously so.And there is something as too sharp - for a reason.Standard practice tells us that kind of edge simply cant hold up to the daily beating and will become dull faster.With exceptions.So my concern - and I will post follow up reviews - is how long will it hold that obscenely sharp edge, and how easy will it be to re-sharpen.For reference my go to daily knives are "Zwilling 4 Star"; they get beat up hold their edge, which gets professionally touched up every 4-6 weeks, back as new. So here's me hoping.Other than that, it was on sale, a no brainer great deal.

Great quality knife. I have found the handle to be comfortable to hold while cutting. It cuts through items so clean and easily. I bought this item when it was on sale but it is definitely worth the regular price.

Great size for multiple uses, wife loves the sharpness and the handle design

This is a beautiful knife and so far, it keeps an edge. It is a full tang. It feels well balanced in my average female hand. I do wish they would have better smoothed the handle bolts. That is what makes it a four star instead of five star knife in my opinion. I always hand wash my knives and they rest on a wall magnetic strip. It's a shame that they didn't better finish the handle, it brings the quality down. I am on the fence about whether or not I would 'recommend' it or not because of the handle. Since I don't use the knife for hours a day it will work. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Why did you pick this product vs others?:I liked the reviews. The knife cuts through potatoes and raw steak for preparation without any problems. It feels good in my hand, secure, not prone to slip and the food does not stick to the blade after cutting.

Love it, well sharpened and fits nice in my medium size hand. I hope it last, sometime you get a knife and after the first sharpened edge it is hard to get it back to that new edge.
