Detailed Book
I flew though this book and am planning my first hydroponic experiment. Very detailed with ideas and talks about the pros & cons, so this does not appear to be a one-sided book. I'll be referring to this as I start my first hydroponic system using the Kratky method.

Sustainability While Earning a Living
Book Review of Hydroponics the Kratky MethodTitle: Hydroponics the Kratky Method: The Cheapest and Easiest Hydroponic Systems for Beginners Who Want to Grow Plants without SoilAuthor: Demeter GuidesPublisher: Demeter GuidesPublish Date: 2020Book Blurb: “The top benefit to growing plants hydroponically is the flexibility of location that it offers.” Location 4Summary and AnalysisThis is a 5-star read. I absolutely love it. Clear, concise, self-explanatory, east to read—it hits all of those. Hydroponics is a method of sustainable living used by many who live in off-grid housing. It allows the homeowner to not only grow their own food but also to sell any extra, allowing them to earn a living as well. But although not necessarily hard to do, it can be involved. The Kratky Method is believed by the author to be the best for beginners due it its relatively low maintenance and ease of use. Plus you can grow lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers as well as peace lilies and philodendron to name a few of the items that you can grow hydroponically. This book tells you how to do that by giving you pH balance levels. It also tells you how to start growing each of the items he lists that are best grown with the Kratky Method. And the author tells you to do your own research as well because you need to account for what amount and how big you want to grow your food. I highly recommend this book for all who are interested in hydroponics.Disclosure: I got this book for the sole purpose of providing a review on Amazon as well as posting a few other places such as Nikki’s Book Reviews and Goodreads.

Very simple, basic and easy to read
More time (words and pages) are spent selling the idea, repeating the good points, repeatedly. That time and space could have been spent on details. I know that you can buy just about anything on Amazon, everything mentioned had what it would cost on "Amazon ", I felt like I was reading an infomercial. That being said, it is a good book to get the idea and enough info to get a system going.

Planting is Cool!
I never thought that there was another way to plant! This book does a great job introducing readers to what hydroponics is and why the Kratky method is the best l, especially for those who have never tried it before. It’s informative and easy to follow from explaining the process of hydroponics, the types of plants used for this method to the assembly of this mechanism to make sure your hydroponic plants thrive. This is a great read for anyone interested in planting indoors without the mess.

Very basic; left me wanting more technical info.
As others have noted, this is a very basic book on Kratky, with comparisons to other hydroponic methods. I read through it in less than 2 hours. Though I'm new to this, I found myself wanting something with more technical content. The book claims several times that Kratky boosts yield/growth 24% more/higher.....but doesn't mention higher than what - growing the same plants in a soil method or other specific hydroponic methods? The book mentions "EC is vital" and suggests checking EC, but doesn't give any specific EC ranges for the top plants described in the book. A simple chart listing these plants along with their optimal pH, light, and EC ranges would be very helpful. Yes, I know I can download this from the internet, but... The book goes into how to start seeds in media such as rock wool and net cups, but doesn't cover how important the nutrient level is when placing these into the container lid. Youtubes I have watched suggest submerging the bottom only about 1/4".In retrospect, I would not have ordered this book, because there are very good Youtubes and other internet resources available.
