Takes care of vibration!
I wasn't a believer until I installed this. Took 90% of the vibration out of my 36volt Fortrex. High speeds it used to shake pretty bad, this took care of it almost completely. I used a rag to cover the coating and a pair of channel locks to tighten it down, haven't removed it yet, but its been a great addition so far!

Seems to make the trolling motor a little quieter. I do like how you can take it off much easier than the nut. I was fishing with my and had spot lock on. He was not paying attention and got his line in the trolling motor. Was able to spin this off and get his line out while on the water without too much issue.

Minnkota Fortrex prop nut
Perfect prop nut replacement for Minnkota Fortrex trolling motor. This same basic thing from TH Marine is $60.

great value
Only giving 4 stars initially, but the overall feel, quality of product and the fact that it has 2 o rings versus the TH Marine version I'm impressed. I will watch for the next year to see if it will hold up as the other one has. Plus I will watch to see if it fades like my original TH Marine version had (red in color) . So far it is well worth the money!

Helps with on the go cleaning
I don’t know about the claims of faster, smoother or quieter trolling motor action. But I will say that I bought this because it helps on the go cleaning and prop replace ment. By hand you can tighten it up properly and remove it. It also looks better when docked up. If that’s important to you. I would recommend.
