Alpine Milk-Pack of 3

. I did not realize the product was shipped from overseas (my bad). All 6 pieces arrived completely melted (I mean liquid). I was able to refrigerate the product, which is not ideal, but still delicious.

I found Ritter chocolates at my local Job Lots store. Not a high end chain, more for we have it now, you buy it now, or it's gone. I saw the Ritter Corn Flake bar and the Alpen Milk bar and bought them. The quality of the chocolate surprised me for a store like this. I think the texture is harder than Cadbury and that's okay. I like this over Cadbury and Godiva is just plain ridiculous for price for what you get. I liked it so much that I purchased a box of 10 for each of the 2 types I mentioned on Amazon. Search around the third party sellers for the best price but you may have to pay shipping, or wait a bit longer to get them. Well worth the wait. This isn't a chocolate you munch down for a snack. It's firm so you can break off a square and enjoy it longer. Too good to binge on.

This bar, which has been good in earlier orders, arrived old and flavorless. It expires the day after tomorrow. It had the surface bloom associated with too-hot storage, and the flavor was weak. Oddly, the bar was also damaged inside the wrapper, as though it had been crushed or otherwise physically damaged. The rest of the bars are in a cardboard box of 11; this seems to have been added to make up the 12-count order as sold. Ritter chocolate is always great when it is fresh. This is more like a year or two old, stored in a hot room, tumbled about carelessly. The shipment was packed in a cardboard display pack with eleven bars, plus one loose bar. Both the loose bar and the box of bars were old and damaged. This shipper damages the reputation of Ritter chocolate bars. CAVEAT EMPTOR. Avoid this shipper. Just to amend for a separate order. I want to review the shipper independently. This one went over and above! It was a sender in my same state who used 2-day shipment. The product was perfect and even had a cold pack. Yay!

My favorite candy for the last few years. No dairy, no gluten, and maybe even good for me (in comparison to other candy). Couldn't get any locally, so I bit the bullet and tried these before the heat came this summer. They arrived fresh and unmelted...quickly. Of course, they didn't last as long as if I'd bought them one at a time!

I am giving it one star ONLY due to how it arrived. I absolutely LOVE this candy. Crave it! Have ordered it many times, from many different sources. This arrived in one BIG melted, messy disaster. Completely inedible. Because the bars were wrapped in plastic, they didn’t leak out, UNTIL I cut the plastic open. If you cannot ship appropriately during wam months, please do NOT offer to sell them! Or offer an advisory. Simple rationale! It’s insulting to the consumer to receive this. Silly as this may sound, it was a birthday gift to myself. Would rather have had a no name chocolate than what arrived today. I would have liked to include a pic, but I needed to quickly clean up, as it dripped onto my floor and I have 3 dogs. And chocolate is toxic to them. What arrived for me, appeared toxic as well. SO disappointed. I need to add that it possible the hot weather played a huge factor. I hope in the future they will take that into consideration and pack with cooler bags. Thank you!

You might want to buy just one of these bars, and not the five package, depending on how fussy you are about eating expired candy. This product--five bars--arrived with an expiration date only ten days into the future. We also notice the bars don't taste that fresh. We love this candy but are disappointed with the expiration date and sorry we bought so many bars.
