Elmo's Sing-Along Guessing Game (Closed Captioned)

My 23 month old is now settling into this one. I bought it becasue I figured there'd be a lot of ELMO for her and there is... BUT these are the early days of Elmo when he was very one dimensional--a bit unruly, shouting a lot like a spoiled child. Sesame St has really developed the Elmo character into a kinder, gentler, smarter 5 year old monster.Anyway, vintage lovers of SS will appreciate my fave on the video: The Alligator King with his 7 sons. Great message: "Son you wear the crown; you didn't bring me diamonds or rubies, but you helped me up when I was down."Nonetheless, despite my grievances my daughter begs to differ and loves this video; it's grown on her and she even calls Snuffy "Eh-phant" when he shows up and tries to sing the songs, gets a word in sync here and there. This is where I think these DVDs are educational. The kids actually want to learn the lyrics. I much prefer "Sesame Sings Karaoke" becasue I love the adult interaction with the monsters and of course the celebs are funny too. Elmo's so much more developed as well. There are no real people on Sing Along Guessing Game by the way.

We have a wide array of Sesame Street videos and I prefer the classics (although the classica alligator song is on this one) for my children, but they still love ELMO. This DVD is just OK. It is shorter in length and just not appealing as much to them to hold their attention.

Well, my kids adore all things Sesame Street, and this one is no exception. It's a game show in which Elmo, the host, cannot contain himself and answers the questions instead of letting the players do it. This then forces the shows producer to interject and assign a new game show host. And so on until it becomes a complete farce. There are videos which contain musical clues so that your kids can also guess along with the contestants. The songs are a lot of fun and we enjoy singing along with them--my husband and I do, I mean. The kids are a little small for that yet.

The game show concept is a little advanced for a 24 month old, it is not a full bust at this age because my daughter loves the skits, songs and classic cartoons that is placed through out so it DOES get watched. I think she will fully enjoy this movie at age 3 or 4.

FOR MY PARROT "CRUMPET" We already went through one tape. He loves the alligator king and great balls of fur. No matter where I am when this comes on he calls me. MAMA. I am required to sing both while he laughs. He gives this Four STARS!

My son is six months old. We started out with the "Kids Favorite Songs" one and now have a collection going. He could watch all of them in one sitting if I let him. He just loves them!!! They are wonderful and all have a different idea behind them. Funny and fun songs for children of all ages.

The listed run time is NOT 60 minute, as is listed. It is actually about 30 minutes, which I find is a pretty inconvenient length. It is a pain to keep coming back to the t.v. to rewind & change the tape for my 2-yr-old. Otherwise, my son enjoys Elmo.

Elmo appears as the host of a game show where we are invited to guess what things are called through various songs, all of which I have already got on other dvds, so no new surprises there then.

My daughter who is 20 months, loves Elmo and loves music so I thought this would be the perfect purchase. I was wrong. It's not easy to follow and it's just too busy.

Baby loves to watch and I enjoyed watching it too. The songs were captivating for her. I recommend it and will get others too.

「I Love Trash」「Elmo's Song」など、おなじみの曲が入っているのはいいけれど、クイズ番組仕立てというのが、今ひとつ、うちの3歳児には通じていないようです。セサミのビデオやDVDはたくさんあって、このビデオの曲はたいていどこかにも重なって入っています。というわけで、数あるセサミビデオのなかで、あえてこれがいい！とは思いません。字幕がないのもさみしい。ただ「My Best Friend」という曲は、ほかのビデオになくて、すごくいい曲でした。
